Jerusalem's Flag March Through Muslim Quarter Kicks Off With Rampage Targeting Arabs, Journalists​

Tens of thousands of people are expected to participate in the annual flag march, which will pass through Damascus Gate and the streets of the Old City's Muslim Quarter

Haaretz journalist Nir Hasson was attacked by youth taking part in Jerusalem's Flag Parade. Several assailants knocked Hasson to the ground and kicked him, until Border Police officers intervened.

Hours before the parade officially launched, hundreds of young men chanting rampaged through the Old City's Muslim Quarter. Chanting "Death to Arabs," they violently attacked Palestinians, journalists and activists in a group called the Humanitarian Guard. Some of them also entered Palestinian shops and wreaked havoc.
