There are witnesses that confirmed that Trump requested the National Guard. Mark Meadows, SECDEF Chris Miller, Kash Patel, and Gen. Milley.

Capitol police Chief Sund also requested the National Guard. Nancy Pelosi or her Sgt. at Arms denied the request.

Saying that they made decisions on intelligence reports... It now looks like that the Proud Boys were talking to people in the White House Administration, so it looks like they knew way more about the violence that was going to happen...

We were shown last night that about 250 proud boys were at the capitol building assessing security weaknesses while Trump was sending thousands followers down to them... It starting to become clear that this was orchestrated. The target seems to be Pence, they wanted to stop the vote by getting Pence out of the Capital, Pence stood up to the violence... The plan is becoming clear and we are waiting to see if (which they have shown a lot of) they have the evidence to show how far up the Proud boys were dealing in the White House.
We are going to be talking to someone who will have a pocket pardon from Trump... They can't plead the 5th to a criminal investigation, they will have to tell the truth or risk perjury...

This will be decided by a court but during Nixon it was accepted that "under the fundamental rule that no one may be a judge in his own case", a President can't pardon himself.. Fundamentally you don't want a President to be able to pardon himself, he could kill everyone on in Congress and pardon himself... IT would give the President absolute power.. He could kill all his political opponents and pardon himself afterwards...

I could care less about that election at this point, Ted. It's obvious the Democrats used the pandemic to saddle us with the dumpster fire that is Joe Biden and nothing is going to change that at this point.
My focus is on one thing and one thing alone. Getting Democrats out of power before they do more damage to the country. Trump's mistake is trying to fight a battle that's in the past. The protest that turned into a riot at the Capital was a gift to Democrats because it gave them something to use as a diversion from how bad far left policies are for America when they're forced down our throats.

And Ted? The FBI looked at this YEARS ago and determined that there was no coordinated plan to overthrow the government! Sorry, that isn't what happened. There was a protest. They screwed up security. The protest turned violent because the lack of security allowed that to happen. That's it. That's all there is. The rest of just a bunch of Democrats trying to distract our attention from how bad their policies have made our lives.

Was he, did he, for reasons of his own wish to hide the fact of a march before it became fact? Was it subterfuge?

After all, Trump had been planning this march for at least two weeks prior to January 6th. Yet, for some reason, didn't give a heads-up to -- the Mayor, the House Speaker, the Senate President, the respective Sergeant-at-Arms, or even his own Secret Service that he would order the march on the Capitol. Not planned? The demonstration last evening from the Committee clearly showed there was planning for this attack on the Capitol.
It was not spontaneous.

I have seen no reportage that Don Trump warned any governmental authority that he would be directing his mob to march to the Capitol. Reports have detailed how even his own Secret Service detail was caught off guard when he stood on the stage and told the crowd to march to the Capitol.*

From the Washington Post on June 7th: "The hectic events that day followed nearly two weeks of persistent pressure from Trump on the Secret Service to devise a plan for him to join his supporters on a march to the Capitol from the park near the White House where he was leading a rally that he predicted would be “wild.”

Which would have alerted the DC & Capitol police that they should be prepared for thousands to march down a busy street....so they could beef up staffing, erected crowd and vehicle direction barriers?

After all, as Trump himself touted and promoted, and Steve Bannon repeated on air......."it will be wild."
