GOPers Tied To Fake Elector Scheme Set To Turn Over Info To DOJ As Soon As This Week

Republican operatives who have ties to a scheme to put forward fake Trump electors amid the then-President’s refusal to concede last year are reportedly set to turn over information to the Justice Department as soon as this week, according to CNN.

In recent weeks, the DOJ has issued numerous subpoenas seeking information in all seven battleground states where the Trump campaign assembled the fake electors as part of Trump’s efforts to overturn the election results. Sources familiar with the investigation told CNN that some of the subpoenas to Republicans connected to the unsuccessful scheme have been asked to provide documents by Friday.

The DOJ’s subpoenas indicates an expansion of its sweeping investigation into Jan. 6 beyond the Capitol insurrectionists. It also comes as special grand jury in Georgia this week subpoenaed several advisors and members of Trump’s legal team who played a role in his effort to subvert the 2020 election results: Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Kenneth Chesebro, Jenna Ellis, and Cleta Mitchell. Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was also subpoenaed by the grand jury.

If Pence had decided to not certify the election, that just causes a slight time delay, while there is more investigation.
It would not have been significantly harmful.
It would not have delayed the inauguration of Biden by even an hour.

The states were required by the Constitution of United States of America to certify their elections by choosing their electors by the Constitutional December 14 deadline for a very good reason. All fifty states did so. Biden won. There is no mechanism in the Constitution to cause one second of delay for any reason, Let alone because the loser wants and drag it out and raise money off the big lie that he won.

Pence decided not to go along with the Eastman fraud plan because he would Have been committing a crime if he did what he was told to do and pretend that the fake electors that the Trump campaign created were real.

Trump did not need to appeal to Congress on January 6 to investigate election fraud if he still believes it exists. He can take his evidence to a court even right now, or to the state legislatures, to the right wing news media, to the US Congress, to the Duma, But he has to have some fucking evidence, he hasto start naming names of people he can identify who manipulated voting machines from Italy or was a mule in Atlanta.

January 6 is the date that the president elect is determined based on the certified election results from all 50 states. But there is no reason for Congress to investigate anything on January 6 or for a few days thereafter. Trump ran out of legal challenges to the outcome of the election and had no legal other to becoming the winner of the election.

That’s why the Eastman coup memo was not about finding a legal way for Trump to win the 2020 election based on American voters known as the will of the people.

Eastman wanted Mike Pence to declare Trump the winner base on fake electors which would cause chaos and then it would be thrown to the house of representatives where the Republicans could anoint Trump another four years even though he lost,
