Comey sent an email to FBI staff in December 2016 indicating that Brennan wanted to include dossier information, Fox News reported.

A former CIA official is disputing that claim, telling Fox News that it was Comey who wanted to cite the unverified Steele information.


A potential rift is emerging between James Comey and John Brennan over who pushed to include information from the unverified Steele dossier in an intelligence community assessment of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Comey, a former FBI director, sent an email to subordinates in late 2016 indicating Brennan, a former CIA director, wanted to include materials from the dossier in the intelligence community assessment, known as the ICA, Fox News reported.


A former CIA official speaking on Brennan's behalf is disputing the assertion. The former official told Fox that Brennan and James Clapper, a former director of national intelligence, opposed Comey's push to include Steele dossier information in the ICA.

Comey referred to the dossier in the email as "the crown material," according to Fox's source. Comey confirmed in a Dec. 17, 2018 closed-door congressional interview that FBI analysts used to the term as a reference to Steele's report.



That could just be a reference to Steele being British. Or it could be Comey's suggestion that this dossier was the Crown Jewels of intelligence. Or it could be meant to mean both.

13. After the FBI fired Steele, he continued to confer with Bruce Ohr and the DoJ…and Rod Rosestein and Sally Yates.

In September of 2016, this was Steele’s statement to Bruce Ohr that he “was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president.”


14. And in another stunning revelation, the memo asserts that Justice Department official Bruce Ohr was used to pass information from the author of the dossier, Christopher Steele, to the DOJ.
Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, worked at the time for Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm research firm that commissioned the dossier. Comey was passing out immunity like party favors in his cover up of Hillary's espionage. I doubt that can be reversed. In many cases he also allowed destruction of laptops and other equipment. I suspect that we will find that for the most part that he was very diligent about covering his tracks, my hope is that he slipped up enough times to indict him.

And further to that Carter Page was warned that Russian intelligence agents were trying to recruit him, and ignored the warning and continued to hang around with them. Trump hired a guy to work on his campaign that was under a FISA warrant for associating with known Russian spies, and then sent that man to Russia in the summer of 2016 where he allegedly met with both the Russian Prime Minister and an executive from Rosneft. And then they wonder why the FBI was looking at the Trump campaign.

And that's without even getting into the Papadopulous case pointed out here.

If you don't want the FBI looking at your campaign, don't hire people that are under a FISA warrant and don't hire people who brag about being an intermediary for Russia.

the Mueller report makes clear that the tip from Australian Intelligence about Papdapolous running his mouth is what started it.

They keep on trying to link the Russia investigation to the Steele Dossier and Carter Page, and it's ludicrous.

The FBI obtained FISA warrants on Carter Page back in 2014, which was two years before Steele was contracted to obtain the opposition research that turned into the Dossier. And further to that Carter Page was warned that Russian intelligence agents were trying to recruit him, and ignored the warning and continued to hang around with them. Trump hired a guy to work on his campaign that was under a FISA warrant for associating with known Russian spies, and then sent that man to Russia in the summer of 2016 where he allegedly met with both the Russian Prime Minister and an executive from Rosneft. And then they wonder why the FBI was looking at the Trump campaign.

And that's without even getting into the Papadopulous case pointed out here.

If you don't want the FBI looking at your campaign, don't hire people that are under a FISA warrant and don't hire people who brag about being an intermediary for Russia.

when you setup that tip by setting up someone to say things you need them to say sure.
