The right and the Republican Party are in trouble. There is no doubt about that; however, you are also correct that people, even Democrats, will always vote that way just because they are Democrats. Also, Independents still do and will continue to determine most elections, so while the Republican Party is in trouble, the Democrats are not going to win all elections from here going forward, especially in Congressional and Senate races. As for POTUS, the Republican Party is going to have a tough time winning it very often in the future. Texas isn't all that far off from turning blue, and once that happens, Republicans will find it very difficult to win the White House.

Kind of like the undocumented being encouraged to apply for Obamacare, and being assured, they won't be deported or charged if caught falsifying applications.
