Judges and Unions

I want to say this before I read the rest of your post. American workers are stupid. In the late 70's Republicans attacked unions. 35% of us were in unions. The 65% of us who were not in unions were stupid. Rather than say "hey, I want what they have" they said "why should they have it so good"

Idiots!

How did they sort of convince me back then those uneducated blue collar workers were overpaid was by showing me they made as much as I did, and I have a college degree. Of course I'm white collar and they have to work overtime to make what I make, but they also had job security and pensions. My FORD dad retired at 59. Me, I'm probably going to have to work till I'm 65. Because he got health benefits when he retired.

Here's all I need to show you to prove Bush and Republicans ruined America in the 2000's

Checks for 1998 to average $6,100, 39% more than last year's

Ford profit sharing a record

Record profits and record profit sharing. Then Americans didn't elect Gore because they thought they could drink a beer with Bush. How stupid is that huh?
I agree with you on these issues. The situation now is unsustainable. Either we change or there's going to be uncontrollable social unrest which can lead to a civil war. I doubt the younger generation is going to stand for what is happening, they're way too conscious of these issues, much more than my generation. I'm GenX.

I'm not on board with all of the LGBTQA++++ lunacy, but as far as the economics, I'm on board with you. My grandson was taught against his parent's will, about "transforming into a girl" in his Kindergarten class and actually asked his father, my son, if he could become a girl. He was confused about gender. That pisses me off, and I'm not having it. These LGBTQ people need to keep all of their homosexual stuff to themselves and stop trying to influence our children.

Republicans love social wedge issues. They use them to divide us. You and I economically should be voting Democrat. Fuck those social wedge issues like god, gays, guns and racism. You know who understands this very well? These two rich Republicans

Actually, the young people don't care about gays. It's old people who it bothers. I try to tell my brother, who it bothers, the reason they're "shoving it in your face" is to normalize it. So you treat them normal when you see them. So people don't beat them up for being different.

Being "out of the closet" means "shoving it in your face". Sorry.

I'll be honest. The dude at the end? I'll never get used to it

I agree. I can have solidarity with gay people, on these political issues and organize with them. I actually find all of these social issues taxing, I wish I didn't have to deal with them. They're a pain in the ass (pun not intended).

These are the two reasons you should be voting for Kamala if you are middle class or socially liberal. We all know what kind of judges Bush and Trump appoint. Heritage Foundation Judges. Project 2025. Clarence Thomas taking money from billionaires. Religious nuts like Alito. And their wives are even worse! Vergogna! Look it up.

But this is proof Trump is not for the middle class. Because he doesn't understand how important unions are to having a strong middle class. America was great when 35% of our work force was unionized. Today it's 5% and how we doing? But unions fought back and won big last year for the workers. Of course Stellantis laid a bunch of people off but the people who are working are making enough to support their families. We can not be deterred.

And based on Trump's interview with Musk, he was praising Musk for breaking the law when he fired workers for going on strike.

You may not be in a union but unions are more important than you think to how much you make. So support unions. Now Republicans will tell you that those uneducated blue collar workers aren't worth that much. The same workers they're saying they want to help. Suddenly Republicans are pretending to care about blue collar workers wages.

Most of the industries with unions are gone. The work went overseas. Electronics, steel, industrial, garments, high tech affected, automobiles, and others. The WW 2 generation working in these fields that were most favored got great pensions and huge payouts in the mid to late 1970's and for another 15 years or so. The garment industry really needed unions as they were on the lower tier, and many did not make out well even with unions.

That's all you got?? Total bullshit.

You need to get your news from somewhere other than the Cartoon Network and MTV. seriously
He broke the law. I showed you he broke the law. You may be okay with breaking that law but he broke the law. I know, you'll give him another pass just like the previous 10000 times.

You seem to trust people. You trust your own party as they screw over their own groups when needed. If the times ever go bad, people will die. That is human history. Our nation is being dragged into that environment as violence and wars will happen like everywhere else. Our politicians over many decades did this.

It was on the Daily Show they pretended to be Corporate America and the PSA was "hey America, we're going to stop pretending to care about social issues because no matter which way we go we make half of our customers mad so from now on we're going to only focus on selling you our products for as much as we possibly can and that's it."

Which I think would be wise of them.

I've seen America from the view of poverty and the view of a rich dude. My brother has 10 million. But I saw how he achieved it. It was a liberal society. Affordable college, dad worked for a union, etc.

I know what made America great for the middle class. It wasn't Republican policies. It was liberal policies. Unions, affordable college, etc.

And now that my brother is rich, he's voting GOP. Because he has forgotten where he came from. Republicans like to believe they grew up in the same log cabin they built with their own two hands. Know what I mean?

I trust Democrats more than I trust Republicans. I have ZERO trust in Republicans. I can't EVER see myself voting for a Republican. Even when I leave the work force and join the investor class, I just can't see voting for them. BUT, if someone could show me that matter of fact voting GOP would make me an additional $50,000 on my investments, that might do it. But then I would be voting for the party that is right for me. If I told you to vote for them I'd be lying to you if I told you their policies are better for you.

And if everyone voted for the party that was best for them Republicans would only get about 25% of the vote.

I'm not against informing children about homosexuality, but it has to be done carefully and not necessarily when children are in Kinder. That type of lesson can wait a few more years. Even homosexuals are complaining:

I'm not religious, so my concern doesn't come from religious conservatism. I'm an agnostic-atheist, and I believe that children should be left alone, to develop naturally, without being steered into homosexuality or in any way bullied into some "socially progressive", gay agenda. Leave the children alone. It's that simple, and I don't care if homosexuals have their nightclubs, bathhouses, gay pride parades. All of that is fine with me, I could care less, just keep kids out of it.

I agree with the left on economics, but when it comes to this issue, with the LGBTQ, I'm a so-called "fascist". I don't care if I'm called ugly names by my comrades, calling me fascist. Go right ahead. Leave the children alone, that's all. I'm a socialist, but leave the children alone.

If your kinder asks you can say some kids have two mommies and some have two daddies. You don't have to explain how women scissor and guys BF each other. You don't have to explain tops and bottoms. Twinks and bears. That stuff can wait for 1st grade. lol

No, more like never. None of that belongs in school. I didn't have to deal with this crap when I was growing up in the 1970s and 80s. If my sister had been raised in this environment, being the Tomboy that she was, she would've been steered into Lesbianism or transsexualism, getting her breasts cut off, hormone treatments..etc. I have no doubt. She was tall, stronger than many of the boys, hanging out with her brothers and male cousins. She was with us, and at school, she also hung out with boys, but she was 100% heterosexual. She went through puberty and became more feminine and got married, I now have nephews. No, leave the children alone.

Yea but he doesn't break laws. Maybe Kamala will. Should have thought about that before you made her a Queen.

This reminds me of Hillary using her private emails. When she did it, everyone did it. Even when Trump got into office, he himself did it. His team did it. Ivanka did it. But Trump made doing it a felony. Then Trump did it and you cry that we're picking on him for charging him. First off, he tried to get Hillary disqualified for doing it when it wasn't a felony. Then he did it after he got into office. And you weirdos think we are picking on him. Weird.

And don't cry about the deep state when the deep state throws out Trump's cases. That's some deep state shit.

^^^"He doesn't break laws". Totally not in a cult, guys, really. :laughing0301:

I'm just saying if someone in the class has two dads, don't make a big deal out of it. Don't make fun of that kid because then your kids going to do it.

He didn't 'break the law' you simpering moron. He had a complaint filed against him and Elon that is as preposterous as you are.

The only law that might apply is the one forbidding the firing of striking workers, Union or no.

And that is such a stretch, it's as ridiculous as what passes for that tiny brain in your head.

seriously, stop getting your 'news' from MTV.

Yeah, because kids really need an excuse to make fun of other kids.

Nope. Threatening unions. I know you'll weasel him out of this. What he meant, what he said, that's not what he said, what he meant, he was kidding, etc.

Yea, we know.

You're in a union today? What union you ungrateful prick?

You must be a social con if you like the judges he appoints
Utility Workers Union of America- Brotherhood of Utility Workers. I’m part of a six local group which negotiates together with the. Company that employs us. We negotiate as one unit even though we’re six separate locals. It’s been this way for about 60 years now without any significant labor issues. Only one small walkout back in the mid 1990s, which lasted less than 48 hours. I’ve been officially or unofficially the Steward for my department since it was created in 2009.

I am both a fiscal and social Conservative. Always have been and always will be.
Maybe you're in a shitty union. What industry? What union are you in? Must suck or you don't appreciate them because you're a social weirdo.
I, actually I’m in a pretty good union. One which understands that nobody wins when the workers aren’t working. I work for a large gas & electric utility company in Bee England; on the electric side of the house in a support role for Design, Operations and Distribution Control Center groups.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the six electric union locals (all UWUA) that were associated with this company banded together to create what we call the BUW (Brotherhood of Utility Workers) to negotiate with the company as one unit, to ensure that workers across the entire geographical area were treated equally by the company. They also realized that they only made out better when the company made out better, and that nobody ever wins when the workers aren’t working. There was one strike in the early 1980s and a 48 hour lockout in the late 1990s. Other than that there have been no work stoppages in our bargaining unit… because the union and the company work together rather than fighting over scraps.

I agree with that. I taught my children the "golden rule", of not doing unto others, what you don't want done to you. I raised them right and didn't let them make fun of anyone. They never bullied anyone even though they could. I taught them to use their physical strength and minds to help others. One of my sons is a police officer and another is a firefighter. All of my sons are veterans, having served their country and now continue to serve their community. That's how I raised them.
