With all the back and forth here, please remember the OP did say the best 'LIVE' rock and roll band.
I don't agree with him, but saying things like the Beatles are the greatest ever, when in reality they were not that great 'LIVE'. Yes the Beatles will likely be considered the greatest rock band ever, I sure believe that's true, but again remember how the OP framed this.

The were the Back Street Boys of their era - nothing more.

I do like some of their easy listening tunes:

“While My Guitar Gently Weeps”
"Blackbird"
“Strawberry Fields Forever”
“Hey Jude”
"Yesterday”
“Here Comes the Sun”

.

you're certifiable.

sure they were live - when you could hear 'em. great on ed sullivan & on the rooftop.

shea stadium- not so much- but not really 'cause of them.

yea this guy thinks having people write your stuff, play the music and choreograph you, is the same as creating your music and getting up there and play it ....

i doubt the back street boys even did their own choreography.

performance artists are quite different than artists performing.

OK just to make you happy I'll say that the Beatles are the #1 Bubble Gum rock band of all time beating out Australia's Squiddles (but not by much):

.

you like taylor swift, don'tcha?
