Mueller didn't claim anything Barr said was inaccurate and the Democrats are only upset that his handling of the report made it difficult for them to spin it to their political advantage, so Barr can only be rationally accused of defending Trump if you think the Democrats have the right to mislead the public about the report and Barr made it difficult for them to do that.

lol Barr accepted Mueller's conclusion that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government and he concluded on the basis of Mueller's report that there was no obstruction of justice. There was nothing improper about what Barr did and Mueller has not said any of what Barr said was inaccurate. Keep in mind that the report was always intended to the Justice Department and releasing it to the Congress and the public was just a courtesy. The only reason the Democrats are attacking Barr is that they can't find anything in Mueller's report that justifies all their rants about the President.
