The GOP has the White House, the House, the Senate and the State Houses.

This isn't about the Dems.

The GOP has all the power So far, not very impressive.
.

When has Congress really ever been impressive?

This ACA repeal failure thing here most certainly outed Ryan as inept.

What needs to happen to call a special session of Congress?

Those people need to start earning their money and healthcare.
It looks to me like the party remains very divided, despite Trump's win and presence.

I don't who could fix that, though I sure don't know how the sausage is made in DC.

Who in the world would want Ryan's job right now, and why in the hell did he take it?
.
He will not last. He stuck it to the old people with his bill. The democrats stole 916 Billion from the seniors to launch Obamacare and Ryan was going to do the same by make the premiums for54-64 year olds exorbitantly expensive.
How in the hell can that happen, though?

Are they not paying attention to what they're writing, or do they really want to stick it to people?
.
They were trying to keep a promise they made to not cause anyone (the freeloaders) to lose coverage. The only way to do that is to steal from seniors and wage earners!
Holy crap. Seriously, sometimes I wonder if these people don't realize that what they're saying and doing will be scrutinized, that they're so wonderful that people will just fall in line for them.

All Trump needs to do is stop the "cost-sharing subsidy payments" and Obamacare is done...

"The most immediate risk is what happens with cost-sharing subsidy payments to insurers. These are the payments that are at issue in the lawsuit that the House filed against the HHS, challenging their authority to make these payments. If the administration decides to stop those cost-sharing subsidy payments, you could see insurers running for the exits."

Will the dems ride the ACA all the way down?

Except Dems wouldn't be the ones who'd get the blame. Trump would.

Here's the dirty little secret. Big insurance doesn't want ObamaCare to go away. They'd like to go back to being able to deny coverage, to be sure, but they like getting those subsidies. It's easy money.

The question is "what do insurance companies do w/o subsidies?" If they bail out, Obamacare is dead, and they would bail out w/o subsidies...

"Fine" is that working class folks pay thru the nose for (premiums + deductibles) and can't afford to use healthcare, while the freeloaders and immigrants get free Medicaid.

It's not a question of "sticking it" to people, it's about costs. Currently the ACA allows insurers to charge older people no more than 3x what they charge younger people. It's a fact that the older people make up the majority of the expenditures.

Sure, that's why so many have pulled out of the Market. Seriously dude THINK before you type.

Why should Medicaid be free? Put a monthly premium based on income and raise the copays. $1.00 for prescriptions is way too low.

Totally agree the bottom half needs to pay more so that the middle-class folks (deductibles + premiums) allow usage.

all Chump needs to do is pass a bill in the House, then have it make it through reconciliation in the Senate to amend subsidy payments ... nobodys headed for the exit but Chump.

Totally disagree. The (Premiums + Deductible) costs are simply extortion. We need "affordable/usable healthcare" for those paying for it, not free healthcare for the freeloaders

...which we have in a form of means based subsidies and cost sharing program.

Were you living under a rock for the past 7 years or are you just playing conveniently stupid?

There is a lawsuit to end those subsidies. Killing entitlements has never been easy, please see the following article which was quoted in the OP
Will Obamacare Really Explode?

There WAS a lawsuit, it failed long ago.

The dems also had since 2010 to "fix" Obamacare, and have done nothing. There should be competing Bills from both the GOP and the dems how to fix healthcare, and all we have is an unworkable expensive healthcare system.

Nope, Republican swore that nothing less than repeal would do.

Now that they got schooled, time for round two.
I for one will hold their feet to the fire. It must be repealed! First steps! Stop the mandates and the punitive taxes!

You can do whatever you want, repeal effort is over. They are moving on to tax-cuts

Wanna bet?

They need to repeal it and forget about replacing it.
Then later they can do a series of small bills like opening state borders to competition, opening federal borders so we can buy drugs from other countries, and stuff like that.

70% of households on Medicare have jobs... so, um wrong again.

None of those things will fix the problems.

There's nothing to keep them from doing those things now, they are just terrible ideas.
