There's far too much resistance to any of those changes.

The Republican's answer of schools having several armed guards that meet the challenge of the school shooter, is a recommendation the Democrats can't afford to oppose.

And also turning the children's schools into prison like fortresses.

In fact, the Dems have manipulated themselves into a position in which they can't win. If they agree to two armed guards at a school, they will stand guilty of not allowing three when the shooter goes to another school.

The experiment must be given a chance to succeed and it must be allowed several years to determine it's success rate.
