L.A. Launches Nation's First Israel Divestment Campaign

"On Saturday December 27, 2008, the latest US-Israeli attack on helpless Palestinians was launched. The attack had been meticulously planned, for over 6 months according to the Israeli press.

"The planning had two components: military and propaganda. It was based on the lessons of Israel's 2006 invasion of Lebanon, which was considered to be poorly planned and badly advertised.

"We may, therefore, be fairly confident that most of what has been done and said was pre-planned and intended.

"That surely includes the timing of the assault: shortly before noon, when children were returning from school and crowds were milling in the streets of densely populated Gaza City.

"It took only a few minutes to kill over 200 people and wound 700, an auspicious opening to the mass slaughter of defenseless civilians trapped in a tiny cage with nowhere to flee.1

"The attack specifically targeted the closing ceremony of a police academy, killing dozens of policemen.

Chomsky...

As Chomsky points out repeatedly Israel's right to self-defense is not unconditional. Violence has to be a last resort which he claims was not the case in this instance.

When you're receiving $7 million day in US military aid, violence is far more profitable, however.

War is a Racket.

Is it possible that you have no understanding of who Chomsky is???

He never met a dictator, thug, anti-American, anti-Semite, anti-capitalist that he didn't love at first sight.

"After 9/11 the same left switched its affection from the red flag of proletarian revolution, to the black flag of Islamic jihad. The names include Jimmy Carter, Noam Chomsky, Michael Moore and Tom Hayden."
From Dr. J. Glasov, "United in Hate."

Who's the villain? Israel who's been targeted by 65 UN resolutions between 1955 and 1992 or their victims who have been targeted exactly never? One Israeli is currently held prisoner by the Palestinians while 7,383 Palestinians are in Israeli custody. 0 Israeli homes have been demolished by Palestinians while 24, 145 Palestinian homes (and bank accounts) have been demolished by Israel. See if you can respond without any misspellings...They make you look stupid.
More Pravda drivel.

Do you consider this "drivel"?
"It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people."
A very good description of the leftomuslim agitprop from "ifamericans" Pravda, that me encounters here, indeed, a good one.

"Chomsky was one of the chief deniers of the Cambodian genocide of the 1970s, which took place in the wake of the Communist victory and American withdrawal from Indochina. He directed vitriolic attacks towards the reporters and witnesses who testified to the human catastrophe that was taking place there. Initially, Chomsky tried to minimize the deaths (a “few thousand”) and compared those killed by Pol Pot and his followers to the collaborators who had been executed by resistance movements in Europe at the end of World War II. By 1980, however, it was no longer possible to deny that some 2 million of Cambodia's 7.8 million people had perished at the hands of the Communists. But Professor Chomsky continued to deny the genocide, proposing that the underlying problem may have been a failure of the rice crop. As late as 1988, Chomsky returned to the subject and insisted that whatever had happened in Cambodia, the U.S. was to blame." Quoting Chomskin is bad manners. Duh.

Repeating yourself won't change the FACTS of the excerpt I provided...which essentially renders your statement (of which you do not offer any validation for) questionable at best.

Also note by your statement $20 billion is distributed to 5 different countries....Israel STILL comes out ahead, with a lions take in armament funding.

My solution: Cut ALL the funding to EVERYONE, get our home situation in order, THEN go back to the drawing board.

My repetition of the facts seems to be necessary given your low brain cell count.
Israel is a US ally. Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Egypt and Jordan are not US allies.

Your repetition of "facts" that you DID NOT document DO NOT negate what I sourced. In fact, what I sourced puts your "facts" in question. Let me know when you can factually counter what I've sourced.

And let me bring you up to speed, Markie boy....Iraq WAS an ally, but backing the despot Hussein eventually proved counter productive (to put it mildly).....Same thing with Iran, Chile, El Salvador, Marcos Philipines (spl), etc. My point being is that when you blindly back gov't that are fucking up the local populations, it eventually does not bode well.

Not all criticism about Israel is automatically anti-semetic, you know.

Iraq was an ally, which treaty?

Quotation marks without a link to establish their source goes way beyond bad manners.

Many people like Chomsky were initially skeptical of the numbers of Pol Pot's victims being tossed around in the western press. Since the true scale of genocide in Cambodia's been established, Chomsky acknowledges its magnitude while linking the rise of the Khmer Rouge with US bloodletting in Indochina.

"Between March 1969 and May 1970, Kissinger ordered some 3,600 B 52 bombing raids on Cambodia.

"Kissinger later lied to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee saying he had selected only 'unpopulated' areas of Cambodia for bombing.

"Somehow, between 600,000 to 800,000 civilians died in these 'unpopulated areas'. This carnage occurred before Pol Pot won power.

Chomsky is someone who believes Pol Pot would have found it much more difficult to assume power without US carpet bombing.

"Refugees from the bombing abounded; others left because of poisonous herbicides dropped by U.S. military aircraft. Neither Vietnamese nor Cambodians have recovered from this toxic side of the 'the American War.'"

Up the Mekong..

Chomsky's "vitriolic attacks towards reporters and witnesses" apparently doesn't include American correspondent Richard Dudman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Noam went to press in 1972 with Dudman's ordeal:

"Dudman is one of the few people to have been both a prisoner of the Khmer Rouge and a chronicler of his own detention. His testimony indicated a strong connection between American tactics in the countryside of Cambodia and the recruitment of peasants to the guerrilla side. (Imagine the strain of composing an account that denied such a connection.)"

Noam, Michael Moore and Tom Hayden are fellow travelers; however, Jimmy Carter is just another war criminal as far as Chomsky's concerned. (Carter's support for Indonesian war crimes in East Timor and Somoza's National Guard in Nicaragua.)

As far as supporting dictators and thugs, one trait that even most of his critics concede is Chomsky's absolute loyalty to the moral principle of universality.

If there's something you don't want done to you, don't inflict it on another.

Chomsky is just a language teacher. He is viewed as a crackpot in international affairs, in which he has no insight.

Tsk tsk, Georgie.

No treaty per se, just a lot of tech support and handshake deals

The apartheid state of IsraHell was the lone supporter of rascist South Africa in it's last few years.
Arabs love the South Africa example, because it gives them ready excuses for their lifelong dream - kill jews and plunder their property, of course. When it doesn't work out as desired, and they get a state, they, upon discovering that, they, actually, have to work, start making hysterical "gimme money" noises, like the South Africa does.
An now runs the worlds largest open air nazi style concentration camp called Gaza.
But they like it out there. A palisturdian remarkable lack of interest in having a state is easily explainable by the fact that, running a state is not running a palistaniacal terroristan, - one has to, actually, think about employment, roads, communication and garbage trucks, and this is not fun, compared to street marching, rocket shooting, talking drivel, demanding aid and, generally, occupying and oppressing everybody around the globe with their occupational occupation.

If Jews are so smart, why don't more of them read Chomsky?[/szie]
Why? It's a silly question. The maoist China he considered “quite admirable”, the stalinist Vietnam he found “a miracle of reconciliation and restraint”, the Pol Pot’s Cambodia he compared favorably with the American revolution. Quoting him is bad manners.

"In just a few years the Palestinian campaign to boycott Israeli goods has become truly global

Despite Israel’s siege of Gaza, and the escalating displacement in the Negev and East Jerusalem, Palestinians have some reason to celebrate. In Washington (State) a food co-op has passed a resolution calling for a boycott of Israeli products, confirming that the boycott movement – five years old last month – has finally crossed the Atlantic.

"Support for the move came from prominent figures including Nobel peace laureates Desmond Tutu and Máiread Maguire, and Richard Falk, the UN’s special rapporteur on the Palestinian territories.

"The movement for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel was launched in 2005, a year after the international court of justice had found Israel’s wall and colonies built on occupied Palestinian territory illegal. Over 170 Palestinian political parties, unions, mass movements and NGOs endorsed the movement, which is led by the BNC, a coalition of civil society organisations.

Rooted in a century of Palestinian civil resistance, and inspired by the anti-apartheid struggle, the campaign crowned earlier, partial boycotts to present a comprehensive approach to realising Palestinian self-determination: unifying Palestinians inside historic Palestine and in exile in the face of accelerating fragmentation."
