True story, and corroborates some of the insider information that Lipush contributed on Friday during the sieges that went on in France.

Lassana Bathily Muslim Employee At Kosher Market Saved Several People During Paris Hostage Situation

Lassana-Bathily-MAIN.jpg

Lassana Bathily, a Muslim employee at Paris Kosher grocery store Hyper Cacher, saved several people by hiding them in a walk-in freezer when a gunman laid siege to his workplace on Friday.

Amedy Coulibaly burst into the market and opened fire, killing 4 people. He took several shoppers hostage and threatened to kill them if police stormed the printing shop where Cherif and Said Kouachi, who killed 12 people in an attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo earlier in the week, were holed up in a village to the north.

Bathily, identified by French media as a "Malian Muslim," helped several customers to safety as the chaos unfolded. "I went down to the freezer, I opened the door, there were several people who went in with me. I turned off the light and the freezer," Bathily, 24, told French network BFMTV. "I brought them inside and I told them to stay calm here, I'm going to go out. When they got out, they thanked me."

It's unclear exactly how many people Bathily managed to hide inside the freezer in the store's basement. City councillor Malik Yettou said that six people and a baby escaped the gunman by hiding there, while BFMTV put the number at about 15...

..When asked about his heroic acts, he replied, "We are brothers. It's not a question of Jews, of Christians or of Muslims. We're all in the same boat, we have to help each other to get out of this crisis."

This young man put himself into danger's way to save other peoples' lives. Every single person in USMB should be thankful for what he did. I am sure that the family with the little baby is extremely thankful to him for what he did. I plan to write him a letter of thanks. This is yet another story of true heroism amid the carnage.

Funny...thread has been up for an hour and none of the usual conservatives can bring themselves to thank this man's heroic efforts.

He's Black AND a Muslim so of course they can't bear to post anything that doesn't paint him in a negative light.

I bet there's conservatives right now that are scouring the internet to find any op-ed that would seek to discredit his actions...

Nothing more needs to be said.

That young man saved about 15 people, including a baby. I bet that that baby's father will be eternally grateful to Lassana Bathily for what he did.

Lipush posted a text that she had received from a friend on Friday, whose relative was among the hostages and that person wrote that they were down in the basement. Then, a number of papers confirmed on Saturday that there was a basement and that there were 2 cool-rooms (refrigeration units) down there. One was closed, the other could not be closed. The one that was closed was the one in which those hostages were kept safe from Koulibabaly, perhaps he never even knew that they were there. That is probably what saved their lives.

The Talmud teaches that whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world.
The Kuran teaches the very same thing.

So, actually, Muslims around the world, if they really do condemn what those four terrorist sonsofbitches did, should be hailing this young man as a real hero, for he is. He saved lives.

Muslim75 - care to praise this young Muslim for his heroism? Sunni Man , you?

there is violence in mali------it seems to be something like
a civil war type thing---but it includes take overs of buildings ---etc etc

What a brave young man...a shining light, like those teachers and administrators at Sandy Hook.

YEPP.

So, you don't praise your fellow Muslim's courage and heroism? You don't accept the teachings of the Kuran?
I don't remember saying all of that?? .... :confused-84:

No, you just suggested that he would get copies of the cartoon magazine that you so despise. But wait, those Jewish hostages in that small market and he, that employee, had absolutely nothing to do with Hebdo. So, your comment is a complete non-sequitor.

So, are you gonna praise Lassana Bathily, or not? I bet you cannot bring it over your lips, in spite of the fact that both Kuran and Hadith, also parts of Bukari, command you to praise those who have saved lives.

And the Jew repaid this arab by handing his name to the world so that ISIS/Al Qaeda can find him and kill him. With the Jew, no good deed goes un punished.

Incorrect......I am not "commanded" to praise him. ......
No, you are not. And, in a just society, you have the right not to. But that is a reflection on your character, not his.

Why, if there were no Muslims allowed into France, this muslim man wouldn't have been able to save the market goers from muslim terrorists.

Thanks diversity and multiculturalism!

Oh wait...
