Latest Gallup: Trump at 39%

Trump and the Democrats are lucky to have each other.
It's surprised me that there is absolutely no interest in an indep candidate. The gop has cancelled primaries to keep trump from having an internal challenge just to get his goat
Very disappointing. If not now, with things this ugly, then when?

It may have to come from within the parties, enough brave souls to step forward and say "enough is enough".

There is no valid internal challenge. Merely a few disgruntled NeverTrumpers.
Yeah, they don't want any embarrassment.

And there's no appetite for any indep candidate.

Yet more people are indeps than gop and dem combined. I think this means no one is paying attention, yet.

Well, assuming Biden crashes and burns, I think the issue is whether anyone can appeal to the maj of voters who register indep. And those voters plus either party account for about 70% no matter how you cut it.

How many "real" people can even be watching a SEVEN HOUR town hall on Climate Change. I mean I give Biden credit for staying awake, because I couldn't and I'm not at full retirement age. LOL

I don't know how anyone wins the dem nomination without the blacks in the south. Sanders and Warren are trying to reach out, but as with 2016 it may be "so now you notice us?"

It sure would have been interesting to see what Schultz would have done.

I can't come close to guessing what's going to happen. I do know that much of the populace is far more interested in who the Kardashian girls are banging this week than they are about presidential politics. That's part of the reason we're in this mess.

Time for Rasmussen to respond by faking a 50% for damage control purposes.

From the "Trump has no path to the White House" polling company too!

Quote Gallup on that or retract your bullshit.

Sorry???? Gallup? what? Where did I say Gallup?

In your last post moron, where you were responding to the post with a Gallup poll link.

You didn't even click it, did you, dummy?

Almost exactly where George W. Bush was at in early September 2003.

If you to know how that worked out for Georgy Boy for his re-election in 2004 just ask John Kerry.

Democrats would be wise not to get into the chicken counting before the eggs are hatched business because after all you're the same bunch of fuck ups that let Donny beat you in the first place.

imo Warren is interesting. Not necessarily in a positive way. LOL. William O. Douglas was FDR's first pick to chair the SEC, and he was damn close to a real socialist. He went on to a long career on the then Dem Supreme Court. But he started out teaching securities law at Yale Law.

Her campaign is really a series of "position" papers. But can she shift to being able to be idealistic while also realistic of what a potus can do, esp with McConnell? I dunno. The only "academic" I can think of who became potus was Woodrow Wilson.

I've seen a couple of pieces from Dems saying that she should give way to Bernie. I don't know if they think the "Pocahontas" thing would kill her or what the reasoning is.

Regardless, you couldn't get much more of a contrast than either of them and Trump.

The economy isn't providing as much cover for Trump as it once did.

Hiring Slowed in August, but Wage Gains Accelerated

"The great American jobs machine is flagging, showing signs of its age and damage from an intensifying trade war with China and a slowing global economy.

"The latest evidence came Friday, when the Labor Department said the economy added 130,000 jobs in August, below what analysts had expected.

"That number would have been considerably lower were it not for the addition of 25,000 temporary census workers."

"The report also revised down job gains for June and July by a total of 20,000."
