Why are we trying to goad North Korea into war?

N Korea hasn't invaded anyone for almost 70 years. It has a tiny navy and an antique air force. Most of the army's equipment is out dated WWll surplus with no spare parts. The country's guided missiles can barely get off the launch pad before exploding. And those that do, have trouble hitting the Pacific ocean, let alone Hawaii.

Sure its leader Kim Jong-un is a brutal dictator. But heck, most of the countries in Africa and Asia are ruled by dictators just as bad as little Kim.

Why don't we just ignore him and his antics. And quit pretending like N Korea is some kind of a global threat. .....

I do not think either Russia nor China are going to consider the USA's moves as threatening to them. THEY are not off their rockers, they know we're trying to intimidate Kim. In fact, I think they're so onto it that they're playing along - China massing troops to "defend" their border and Russia spouting how they ain't taking no refugees. I suspect they don't believe USA is going to attack NK, just playing the game - sometimes the other wolves will back up the Alpha as a show of force and all.

Hopefully Kim will calm down but it's entirely possible he's too far gone mentally. In which case we end /him/ not start a war, just end him; preferably quietly, a heart attack or something - maybe we should call up the Clinton's...

If China, and Russia combat us, it could be risky business.
