Obama said this week that he needs bills, he's tired of the GOP not doing stuff. He says let's do some stuff.

Never mind that not only isn't Obama doing his job, but he refuses to enforce the laws already on the books.

Is anybody actually buying this bs?

Obama hopes to paint a picture of a do nothing congress, but it's a tough sell when all we see Obama doing is fundraising, which is essentially partying every day. Seems the more Obama doesn't do his job the better the economy does.

NPR is talking about it right now, as if none of this mess is Obama's fault. It seems the less he or his administration does the better...

Obama tells govt to get to work and Avatar objects.

The ODS is making people turn against even the most reasonable requests. Thats why Obama needs to tell them NOT to get to work and they'd fly into their offices pulling doubles

NPR isn't saying congress is a do-nothing congress, but they keep repeating the phrase 'Do-nothing Congress' over and over.

What we have is a do-nothing president and a do-nothing Senate. Everyone breaths a sigh of relief whenever they go on recess, and also a great deal of anger for the fact they are leaving without accomplishing anything.

Obama has already been out to lunch so long it's hard to remember when he actually did anything worth a damn.

Discussion on a divided congress show differences in leadership causes varying results.

Reagan was able to accomplish a great deal working with Tip O'Neal.

Clinton, the same with Newton Gingrich.

Obama refuses to work with John Boehner, choosing instead to constantly insult him and claim he won't work with him. The difference seems to be the quality of leadership, or the lack thereof

Let's do some immigration reform.

Oh, wait. Boehner says no.

Let's fix the employer mandate problem in the ACA.

Oh, wait. Boehner says no and would rather force a constitutional crisis to whine about.

What he wants is amnesty, I don't really know why but I think it has to do with taking care of supplying cheap labor to his corporate sponsors.

What exactly laws do we need?

Oh yeah I forgot, we need laws to fix the major Democrat clusterfuks.

My copy of the Constitution is missing the part where Congress exists to simply rubberstamp what the sitting president wants.

You also appear ignorant that this is common practice for many laws. Like the "doc fix" that is passed every year to fix the Republican clusterfuck from way the fuck back in 1997.

Immigration reform is a dead issue thanks to Obama's human-traffickingt stunt. Sending thousands of 'refugees' into states without notifying the state governments. TN governor Bill Haslam found out Obama delivered 760 illegals into his state, without prior notification, to sponsors that are most likely illegals themselves. Nobody seems to know because nobody even checked. He's asking for an immediate explanation.

He's still waiting.....

Nice try at revisionism.

Boehner killed immigration reform long before the kids came over the border.

Cantor's loss in the primary was the final nail in immigration reform. The GOP is too fucking cowardly to actually lead on this issue and instead pisses their pants in fear of the racist base. Boehner is a follower, not a leader.

Even though a super-majority of Americans want to provide illegals a means to stay here, Boehner allows himself to be held hostage by a racist minority.

Why would Republicans negotiate with Democrats on a bill, only to have Obama selectively enforce only the parts he agrees with? Obama's actions killed any meaningful legislation. And if they didnt, Harry Reid in the Senate was always good for some obstruction.

A means to stay here is not citizenship...the majority do not want citizenship for illegals. Nice try though, g0000

You are wrong.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/12/upshot/immigration-what-americans-think.html

National polls consistently show that a majority of Americans support allowing illegal immigrants a chance to stay in the United States.

A CBS News poll in March, for instance, found that 56 percent of Americans thought that people living here without legal status should be allowed to stay and apply for citizenship. An additional 12 percent thought they should be allowed to stay as legal residents, if not citizens.

56 percent want illegals to have a path to citizenship. That's a majority, deltex.

Another 12 percent want legal residency.

68 percent. Super majority.

Will of the people.

Mandate.

The GOP needs to stop blocking immigration reform legislation.

A news poll is not a mandate nor does it represent the wil of the people, dumbshit.

You are making my point for me and don't even know it.

The ACA's employer mandate needs to be fixed. It can easily be fixed by Congress, the same way they pass a "doc fix" every year to clear up the Republican budget of 1997 clusterfuck. But Boehner has refused to do so because he would rather force a constitutional crisis that he can whine and rent his clothes over.

Theater for the rubes.
