Lets Do Some Stuff

Let's do some immigration reform.

Oh, wait. Boehner says no.

Let's fix the employer mandate problem in the ACA.

Oh, wait. Boehner says no and would rather force a constitutional crisis to whine about.

Immigration reform is a dead issue thanks to Obama's human-traffickingt stunt. Sending thousands of 'refugees' into states without notifying the state governments. TN governor Bill Haslam found out Obama delivered 760 illegals into his state without prior notification to sponsors that are most likely illegals themselves. Hey asking for an immediate explanation.

He's still waiting.....

Nice try at revisionism.

Boehner killed immigration reform long before the kids came over the border.

Cantor's loss in the primary was the final nail in immigration reform. The GOP is too fucking cowardly to actually lead on this issue and instead pisses their pants in fear of the racist base. Boehner is a follower, not a leader.

Even though a super-majority of Americans want to provide illegals a means to stay here, Boehner allows himself to be held hostage by a racist minority.

Hardly.

Reform is just a code word for amnesty which will open the floodgates to even more illegals rushing in.

Obama cannot be trusted to follow any existing laws. Why give him another to abuse?

A means to stay here is not citizenship...the majority do not want citizenship for illegals. Nice try though, g0000

You are wrong.

A CBS News poll in March, for instance, found that 56 percent of Americans thought that people living here without legal status should be allowed to stay and apply for citizenship. An additional 12 percent thought they should be allowed to stay as legal residents, if not citizens.

67 percent. Super majority.

Will of the people.

Mandate.

The GOP needs to stop blocking immigration reform legislation.

A news poll is not a mandate nor does it represent the wil of the people, dumbshit.

Actually, it does. Sorry!

Why would Republicans negotiate with Democrats on a bill, only to have Obama selectively enforce only the parts he agrees with?

You are making my point for me and don't even know it.

The ACA's employer mandate needs to be fixed. It can easily be fixed by Congress, the same way they pass a "doc fix" every year to clear up the Republican budget of 1997 clusterfuck. But Boehner has refused to do so because he would rather force a constitutional crisis that he can whine and rent his clothes over.

Theater for the rubes.

Obama has already fixed the problem. Why does Boehne rneed to do anything? And if by doing something you mean knuckling under to Harry Reid and Obama, why would Boehner do that? The GOP was not elected to rubberstamp the Democrat agenda.

No, actually it doesnt. If you think it does, you are too stupid to engage.

Reform means balancing the supply to the demand. Our quota system is seriously out of whack and needs to be fixed.

Boehner is allowing himself to be held hostage by bigots. Just look at what the sickos did when these kids starting arriving. They immediately went into overdrive trying to portray them all as diseased gangsters.

A super majority of Americans want these people to have a path to citizenship or some kind of legal status.

The GOP ignores the will of the people at its own peril.

A path to citizenship for the NYT and Obabble means amnesty...a path to citizenship for Americans means a long hard road...and stay in line.

Deltex said it wasnt happening. It is. Deal with it

The bigots aren't mad these illegals aren't here with permission. They are mad these illegals aren't European. It bleeds through all of their rhetoric. These bogus attempts at portraying immigrants as diseased and as gangsters and all that bullshit. They have ripped a page right out of the Know Nothing nativist handbook.

And American citizens of all non-European ethnicities aren't stupid. They are not going to vote for a party that panders to the people who so plainly hate them.

Wake the fuck up and start taking out the trash.

There are some people who oppose immigration because of bigotry. But that isnt the vast majority. Thanks for engaging in the same tactics as those you oppose.
The truth is immigration reform, which I agree we need badly, isn't going to happen under this president, who is not trustworthy to carry out laws enacted by Congress.

Why do we need reform? We have the laws and a system in place. The issue is it's being ignored.

We reform what is broken, not that which isn't even being tried.

The laws and the system suck. That's obvious. We've had 30 years' experience, increasing the border patrol budget and enforcement every year and we have a bigger problem now than before.

It doesnt matter the loudest ones make it sound that way and since you guys never correct those bigots people associate them with you. But keep at it.

You seem to be more interested in defending the bigots or pretending someone is associating the GOP with bigots unfairly:badgrin:

I've made it quite clear it isn't the majority. However, it is that bigoted minority which Boehner and the GOP pander to.

Wake up and take out the trash.

The truth is that Boehner is very carefully selecting which laws not to fix that need fixing so as to force Obama into a corner and create a constitutional crisis.

The annual "doc fix" is proof of this.

If it's a small minority then Boehner isn't pandering to them. Instead he is representing the interests of his constituents and his party, which is his job.
Boehner does not write or pass laws on his own. Surely you know that.

It's not all about elections, those people are here illegally and were never allowed in. They take American jobs and I am glad the GOP doesn't give them citizenship. They should try it again on the legal way.

Obama said this week that he needs bills, he's tired of the GOP not doing stuff. He says let's do some stuff.

Never mind that not only isn't Obama doing his job, but he refuses to enforce the laws already on the books.

Is anybody actually buying this bs?

Obama hopes to paint a picture of a do nothing congress, but it's a tough sell when all we see Obama doing is fundraising, which is essentially partying every day. Seems the more Obama doesn't do his job the better the economy does.

NPR is talking about it right now, as if none of this mess is Obama's fault. It seems the less he or his administration does the better...

Republicans are forced to say the silliest things to defend their stuff. Elections dont matter in politics?:lol:

The only one saying silly stuff is you. Can you actually read something and understand its intent, or is this skill beyond you?
