The GOP wanted to waiver the employer mandate for a full year and Obama said no. In fact, he shut down the government because he would not extend the employer mandate.

That was then....

This week, he unilaterally extended the employer mandate without legal authority.

So tell Me, why did he shut down government?

Because he can do whatever he wants. He is the supreme ruler with unlimited powers. He is the kenyan messiah, savior of the USA and the entire world. ALL HAIL OBAMA, KING OF THE EARTH :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

The shutdown was the TPM's fault because they gave Boehner no room to maneuver except straight into defeat.

Then again in November.

The passage of the Farm Bill clearly indicates that Boehner is done with TeaP shenanigans.

Easy

Then it was the Republicans idea. Now it's his decree

horseshit ! The OP stated it correctly, obama shut down 15% of the govt because he thought he could gain political points by doing it--------he failed.

the country knows who did it, even though it didn't impact anyone except a few security guards at national parks (who got back pay anyway).

Only far left zealots like you are still trying to blame it on a few TP members in the house.

Nope. The GOP tried to defund all of ObamaCare in the budgets they kept submitting. Don't be trying to revise recent history. Some of us have longer memories than you goldfish.

Your topic is therefore based on an entirely false premise, and thus fails.

He is trying desperately to delay the full impact of obozocare until after the november elections. Thats all this is about, nothing more.

Your view of history is wrong. The house bills would have funded 100% of the govt except for ACA, ACA would have needed a separate bill. A separate bill would have required floor debate that would have exposed the truth about ACA to the public.

Obama and the dems knew that if the public got the truth, they would demand that ACA be repealed.

So, they refused to vote on any funding bills and shut down 15% of the govt---the part that obama called non-essential.

Thats how it happened. But we expect liars like you to continue to lie about it.

The gop shut down the govt. The gop lost, and that's why Boehner is trying to pass a clean debt resolution.

Cruz led you guys down the primrose path by trying to PREVENT obamacare from beginning, when in reality the gop needs to get out of the way of the trainwreck.

But, the gop's problem is that Americans will want SOMETHING. It may not be Obamacare, but there's not going back all the way.

Wrong
From your link:

Cantor said Friday the House would consider a one-year debt ceiling measure next week that contains other conservative-backed proposals, expected to include postponing implementation of Obamacare

true to a point. Americans want everyone to have access to healthcare. Pre-ACA everyone except around 15 million citizens had it.

ACA destroys the system for 100% of the people in order to fix it for 5%.

It would have been billions cheaper for the govt to just buy a policy for each of the 15 million who had no insurance.

ACA was, and is, not about healthcare, its about socialism. You on the left need to face that reality. 80% of americans already see that truth.

That is ALL of ObamaCare. Not just the employer mandate.

Word on the street is that it's Bush's fault. ...

Nope. Except by way of doing nothing about rising health care costs for working Americans, thus abdicating the issue to the Democrats. And so in that way, he allowed ObamaCare, and ultimately universal health care, to be inevitable.

But Obama owns ObamaCare. Completely.

Bush did manage to create his own trillion dollar medical entitlement program, though. And he went further than Obama in that he did not even attempt to pay for it.

That's why I say Democrats are tax and spend while Republicans are borrow and spend.

Obama really is Bush Lite in so many ways.
