How exactly could the Baker tell it was for a gay same sex couple, and not a straight same sex couple. There would be no physical distinctive traits after all.

not sure what’s confusing. If the baker asked the names of the couple and it’s Mike and Steve, then it’s pretty obvious they’re asking for a wedding cake for a gay marriage.
