Liberal Bogosity: "The Wall Has To Forcibly Cross Private Property"

me being a Texan, Conservatives rule the state .. you want to piss off Texans try and take their private property. The biggest ranch I've ever been on was 26 square miles. The owner has been touted in Texas Parks and Wildlife monthly magazine for his ranch stewardship, and has a lot of pride and time invested in his pristine dirt. He will have who ever trys to move 1 single fence post of his in court longer that their grandchildren will be alive.
But Trump said yesterday they don't have to wait for the courts -- they can take the land and build on it before the court case is settled. Was he wrong?

the lady that owned the home next to a Trump casino ( and he filed ED to get it ) kept Trump in court until he went bankrupt, and she died. Her daughter wound up selling it to an investor so the answer is simple - TRUMP IS FULL OF SHIT.
That really was a hilarious story. This old woman was offered over a million dollars for her little shack. She was ecstatic over really sticking it to the rich guy who wanted to overpay. The proud old woman fighting for her home.

Then the bottom fell out of the Atlantic City casino business. The Trump casino went bankrupt and the bid on the property was dropped.

This is where it starts getting good. The old woman's daughter had to put the old lady in an assisted living facility. Then she finds that she cannot unload that worthless property at all. Daughter has to pay out of her own pocket for care. Good thing Mom died. Yes an investor bought the property for pennies when she could have gotten millions.

Could not have happened to more deserving people. They were probably Democrats.
I had an old aunt who wouldn't sell out, either, even though the neighborhood was getting pretty unsafe and she was old and her husband was dead and she could have gotten a nice little apartment on one floor, but NO. She had lived there thirty or more years, spent her married life there, raised her boys there, and god fucking damn it, she wasn't going anywhere.
Good. There is nothing better than standing on principle. How much was the old aunt offered for her place?
I offered that story to show that sometimes old folks don't want to move because it's their HOME and they're OLD and they DON'T WANT TO MOVE. It's not always about money. Obviously it wasn't in the case of the old woman who wouldn't sell to Trump. Hell, if someone gave me a million dollars I'd move in a second.

Has anyone seen the damage the illegals have done to that pristine landscape? Go look. Then tell us about protecting landscape.

Come on, they are on foot, so the worst they could do is litter a few empty water containers.
Oh. You haven't been there. You are making it up!

I don't know what that's a picture of, but it's not just trash left behind. That's a campsite for many, many who got raided.

In other words " I don't know what that is a picture of. I am not going to accept the word of people who were there. I'm going to make something up that I like."

Is that about it?

Look at it. Even the backpacks are still there. That is more than litter. I don't give a shit who told you what.

To be fair, I have never heard anybody argue against the wall because it would be crossing pristine landscape, but then again, I really am not sure why they are opposed to it. Except for the fact that Trump wants it, so they don’t.
The Democrats have recently been making the private property argument.

And as it turns out, one of our forum members has been parroting this new party line right here on this forum: Trump + GOP forcibly taking Americans land .

Crossing pristine landscape: The enormous and irreparable impact Trump's wall will have on wildlife

Don’t Mess With Texas Landowners on Border Wall, Lawmakers Warn

One section of Trump's US-Mexico border wall could prompt 'decades of court cases' from private landowners

Honestly, I feel those “private and pristine land” arguments are not about protecting land. If that was their issue, it would have been stated months ago.

It was stated years ago.

The point is, that is not why most liberals don’t want the wall built. It’s a smoke screen. The progressive faction of the democrats wants illegals here. That’s the point.
Everyone hiring those eleven million illegals wants them here, and don't pretend they are all democrats.

True dat, thank you. My point, not building the wall has nothing, or at best very very little to do with preserving pristine lands.

ED fair value was around $200k in Trumps bid to throw her out of her home. Her daughter wound up getting over $500K form an investor when it sold.

the idiots on this board have no idea about ownership - they could care less what happens to someones property.
