Majority Want Citizenship Question On Census, 53%-32%

What would the citizenship question add to the purpose of the census? I always thought the census was needed for districting, school funding, Congressional representation etc.
What is the positive effect of such a question?
Seriously? You mentioned the very reason it is absolutely necessary then pretend you dont understand.

Do you think Congress. REPRESENTS Illegals?
Death Angel, I believe the Constitution says to count "persons", not citizens. You remember the Constitution, don't you? Its that document you want to strictly adhere to. The one you cry havoc over when anyone amends or interprets in a way you don't like?

The mistake you unAmerican LefTarded Loons make is you try to believe the U.S. Constitution is an international document framed to benefit citizens of other nations and fuck over Americans.
Nothing in the constitution was intended to fuck Americans over....NOTHING!
The purpose of the constitution was/is to only benefit Americans.....NOT MEXICO. Sorry.
Which has nothing to do with anything.

FACT...a census is mandated to count ALL persons...by the Constitution

Yep.. “all persons” of the US citizenry.
The authors of our great constitution never expected piece of shit politicians to open our borders to third world filth.
LOLOL

You're fucking demented. :cuckoo:

YOU inserted the words, "US citizenry," because the Constitution doesn't.

Actually virtually all mainstream Dem policies poll far more popularly than those of the GOP

yea, cause we were so forthright when we came to this country and the borders were so opened up to us.

What are you saying...you hate our right to sovereignty...spit it out.
Things changed didn’t they...Remember when cavemen raped their daughters and ate their own?
You’re a filthy fucking retard.
So you misquote me then get mad at your own ignorance.

Funny shit mang

The 14th Amendment doesn't mention the census, moron.
Fucking moron, it mentions how we apportion the number of U.S. representatives in the House. Which blows up the moronic con argument in this thread that we should count non-U.S. citizens in the census for the purpose of apportioning U.S. representatives.

Don't you ever feel stupid for posting such fucking moronic nonsense?
That seems to be your argument.
Fucking moron, my argument refuted the idiotic claims of one of your fellow herd members.
You failed to refute your own stupidity.
LOLOL

Fucking moron... one of you yahoos claimed we should include the citizenship question in the census because only U.S. citizens are counted towards House apportionment....

That same Yahoo later posted a link to the U.S. census website which clearly states even non-U.S. citizens are counted towards that.

Refuted, even if a fucking moron like you is too rightarded to comprehend that.

If you follow the other questions from the Census Bureau, the reason "non-citizens" are COUNTED is because for a decade or more there is NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE to make this process of apportionment any other way.. It's NOT law or policy... It's FUCKING LACK OF DATA....

That's why the question is answered the way it is by the Census Bureau.....

Thanks for proving me right...

The apportionment calculation is based upon the total resident population (citizens and non-citizens) of the 50 states.

Dancing in a diaper full of shit does not make you look good.

There is literally no reason to count illegals other than to get addresses to follow up with ice
Again.... this is not about counting illegals. It's about counting non‐U.S citizens.

How many illegal aliens do you imagine inform the government they're here by responding to the U.S. census?
Neither one should receive representation in Congress.
Take it up with the Constitution which says "persons" in the states should be counted.

It also says the Congress shall be responsible for determining the process. And CLEARLY the process of asking about citizenship applied to EVERYONE on the decadal census from 1890 til 1950.. So it's NOT prohibited..

In fact, the Census bureau was asking about citizenship on it's "long form" version of census even in 2010... That was the form that asked EVERYTHING INTRUSIVE -- like how many toilets you had and how often they were flushed. But only 20% of households randomly GOT that "long form"....

The Census bureau also does statistical sampling EVERY YEAR on yet another form in which the citizenship question is asked...

It is clearly NOT unconstitutional or illegal for the Census bureau to ASK that question if they can pry about the air conditioning, toilets, and 5 pages of other crap....

Cool, so if a spick doesn't say it is isn't a citizen" it shouldn't vote right?
Dumbfuck bigot, this has nothing to do with voting.

Of course it does.. The House seats Cali GAINS from illegals are TAKEN from other states.. Some of them blue or purple like Wisc and Ohio..

Why is this any different than what I said "idiot"??? I heard the exact accounting for this just last week.. A lot of smaller blueish states were on the list of losers... Wouldn't BE Florida or Texas because they are GROWING (without cheating)... So they are not LOSING seats in Congress....

Here's the 2010 results....

CLEARLY, recent invitations and bribes to attract illegals to NY and Illinois are a blatantly sinister way to stop the hemmoraging of losing population.....

Bullshit. They've always counted non-U.S. citizens. And they've done so because doing so was written into the Constitution. Which included counting [3/5s] of slaves who were not citizens and Indians not taxed, who were also not citizens.

I don't care if they ask it. But they're still going to count "the whole number of persons" which includes non-citizens. It will take a constitutional amendment to change that.

Why would an illegal alien inform the government of their presence by responding to the census?
