New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster said Massachusetts State Police Trooper Joseph Flynn, 32, and New Hampshire State Police Trooper Andrew Monaco, 31, were arrested.

Flynn was charged with two counts of simple assault, and Monaco was charged with three counts of simple assault.

Flynn was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail, and Monaco was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail.

Because both men were on-duty law enforcement at the time, the charges are subject to an enhanced penalty.

Flynn and Monaco are scheduled to be arraigned in September.
