The first step is to concentrate on the perp and his/her/it's motivations, not the weapon.....The weapon part can be worked-out in due course during the ensuing investigation.
Brilliant. And if that doesn't work, then what? Back to T's and P's?

I cannot understand the rash of people having this type of mentality.

I have a theory that perhaps some are being conditioned to do these horrible things.
There are a lot of reasons why we're seeing the increase in mass killings:

Breakdown of the nuclear family
Loss of a common societal culture
Social media
Unchecked violence in entertainment
Loss of respect for life

Until we deal with the actual causes of the mental and emotional instability, we will continue to see mass killings. Trying to ban guns won't do anything for several reasons:

1. There are so many in circulation that it would take decades to find them all, much less confiscate them. During that time, the killings would increase because only the law-abiding would be unarmed. The criminals would still have theirs.
2. If the availability of guns dries up to any significant extent, the means of accomplishing the killing will simply shift to other mechanisms, which don't need to be named here.

We gladly accept the loss of tens of thousands of lives every year on the highways just because we like to drive fast. Seems like kind of a selfish reason. I have seen maybe one person state that he would accept no car being able to travel faster than 35 mph in order to save lives.
True. And WAY more people die as a result of poor diet as well as medical malpractice, but both causes aren't even blips on the Mainstream Media morning news.

That's happening all over the world....yet, for some odd reason, they aren't having the almost daily massacres we are.......................................with guns.

When God is kicked out of a person's private life and a nation's public life ... something has to fill the void.

Remember....in the country where more people are shot than any other country...the problem is NOT guns. :heehee:
Again, what changed? It wasn't guns, they've been there since the founding of the nation, and easier to get than today. What changed? Until you address that, the killings will only increase. Of course, we could always impose a total police state. I hear it's pretty difficult to get a gun in North Korea.

They don't have as many people The United States. And, it doesn't happen everyday, not even almost.

Democrats want a total police state.
