I disagree. When an actor chooses to take on a role, they lend the weight of their fame to that role, that movie, and the message (political or otherwise) that the role and movie promote. Especially in movies that have a particular political message or bend.

To then come out and speak critically of that message, after financially benefitting from it, is hypocritical. Just as it would be hypocritical of me, as a gun owners, to eat Ben & Jerry's ice cream or buy Hallmark greeting cards.
