In March 2020, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the case. On June 25, 2020, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the Trump Administration filed a brief with the Supreme Court urging them to invalidate the entire ACA. The case could be argued at the Supreme Court as early as October 2020.

If the lower court decision is upheld, Medicare benefit improvements in the ACA would be eliminated, including closing the Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage gap, known as the “donut hole;” preventive benefits and annual wellness exams with no deductibles or copayments; and improvements in the quality of care beneficiaries receive. In addition, Medicare cost savings achieved in the ACA – cutting waste, fraud and abuse, eliminating taxpayer handouts to insurance companies who offer private Medicare plans and slowing the rate of increase in payments to some providers – would be eliminated. As a result, the exhaustion of reserves held in Medicare’s Part A Trust Fund will be accelerated.

My wife and I are retired and we normally in a year don't spend much more than 6% of our income in a year for medical expenses. Maybe other people are doing it wrong.

If the fucking government would stay out of the business of making health care a friggin welfare benefit for all the welfare queens (that we have to pay for) and if they would stop regulating the hell out of it then it would be cheaper for all of us.

pknopp People who go into bankruptcy list everything and makeup shit as well----------if you aren't one to pay your bills, you certainly aren't going to pay medical bills either.

Which is what I read repeatedly in other reports. Bankruptcy is associated to medical problems because when you can't work, you can't pay your bills. You spend 3 weeks in the hospital and another 2 months in recovery at home, that's a hell of a lot of money people need to pay their bills. With no alternative in sight, they file for bankruptcy until they can get back on their feet.

So even if government would take care of their medical bills, they would still file for bankruptcy to save their car and home.

Its getting more and more popular. The best thing about the ACA is pre-existing conditions which we all have some times or other either by accident or health status.
Its getting better day by day.

Commie Care is a lie and always was. I can't get it and still keep my provider because they offer no reasonable plans for the world famous Cleveland Clinic. Oh, you can buy plans. They sell one for each department. So if you want total coverage at the Clinic, you'd have to buy a half-dozen plans or so to have everything covered, and who could afford that? The only other way is if you have the gift to see into the future to know what parts of the Clinic you are going to use for the next year or two.
