Medical school professor says parents must implement gender ideology for babies: 'It... starts at birth'

What’s stupid about it? Haven’t you ever heard or a tomboy? You know she’s right, you just need to think critically without the influence of modern conservative indoctrination.

Being a Tomboy still means the person is a girl.

Yes. Their sex hasn’t changed.

But they don’t act like a girl, which is what gender means.

Now who is creating constructs?

What's happening now is tomboys are being told they actually are boys, and it's now time for hormones, puberty blockers, and surgery because if they don't ZOMG THEY ARE GOING TO KILL THEMSELVES.

It's taking a part of growing up and mutating it into some protected class bullshit.

No, they’re not being told that. The doctor in the story is talking about doing more listening to kids rather than telling them what they should be.

I bring up tomboys to demonstrate its a spectrum. They’re not all going on hormonal blockers because they’re not all on that part of the spectrum.

What we don’t need is people like you telling them that they can’t behave like tomboys because they’re girls and that’s not how girls behave.

None of them belong on hormone blockers because they are too young to understand or consent

Reality tells them what they are physically. Everything else is made up crap.

What we are seeing is because a girl acts like a tomboy, then she is actually a boy trapped in a girls body according to the trans nutters.

And then the hormones, the puberty blockers and the mastectomies come in.

You are the one forcing them to be something they are not

The children are making their own choices, and their parents are trying to support them through a very dangerous and difficult time. It is Republicans who are forcing them to conform to rigid, gender stereotypes label certain behaviors as “inappropriate”.

One of my friends supported her “artistic” son, from an early age. She took him to music lessons, ballet lessons and skating lessons starting when he was in public school. She sewed his costumes.

Instead of forcing him into the northern Ontario masculine stereotype of hockey, and hunting and fishing in summer, his parents supported their son’s more artistic interests. His contributions to his chosen field have been enormous.

In 2003 he became the Canadian Men’s Figure Skating Champion. In 2006, her son won the Olympic Bronze medal, and in 2009, the Men’s World Figure Skating Championship. He retired to tour and choreograph for Stars on Ice, and his programs have won multiple World and Olympic medals of all colours.

No one is denying what they are physically. We are saying that their mentality may not align with that.

The point of the article is that you let kids tell you what they identify with, not telling them what they should be doing.

Which has zero to do with letting kids "Decide" they want to be the opposite sex and drugging them to make it happen and be "pot committed" as it were.

At that age should we be letting kids tell us they want to run around in the street, or eat rat poison?

Or jump in the pool when the parents aren't around?

You may disagree, but that doesn’t give you or anyone else the right to determine whether or not my child receives treatment.

So if you decide your child is better off with only one arm, and you get a doctor to agree to amputate, no one has a right to dispute you as a parent?

No, those things are dangerous.

What’s dangerous about letting a boy wear a dress?

The danger is in drugging them up before they are adults.

Where has anyone in these threads been against parents playing dress up? It will be their therapy bills, not mine.
