Again you show, you have never read or understood the Bible, or you just twist it to fit your needs.
Matthew 19: 3The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 8He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. 11But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
If you have questions, let me know.
The bolded part is addressing men who cannot control their sinful urges. Those who cannot be satisfied by being with a single woman, those who have urges to molest children, and yes, those who have urges to be with other men(homosexuals).
There are many men, who have had themselves chemically castrated, to keep control of themselves, this does not make them more sinful, it actually gives them the will power to become less sinful. It goes hand in hand with the verse,
Mark 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
This is repeated in the Gospels, here addressing adultery.
Matthew 5: 29"If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30"If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.
Here addressing all temptations, and yes, acts of homosexuality is a temptation.
Matthew 18:7"Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes! 8"If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire. 9"If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it from you. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than to have two eyes and be cast into the fiery hell.
If yall want to keep bringing up the Bible, I will keep posting what it truly says, and I will quote from it, not just talk about what I think It says.
Since that wasn't the passage that was being referred to when I responded, you're the one that needs to re-read the bible, Amigo. Read the thread. When Jesus was talking about marriage being between one man and one woman he was actually talking about divorce.
Keep making it up as you go. Everyone knows this is the passage you are referring to, if there is another, please post it. We both know you won't, because this is it.
So sorry, you're right. I was referring to Matthew 19 and Jesus was talking about divorce (and was speaking positively about gay men specifically at one point...you know, those "eunuchs" that were born that way)
Jesus never said one word against gays, only Paul did in the NT (along with a whole lot of other crazy, sexually repressed shit). Paul was one fucked up dude.
I know it sucks for you that Jesus wasn't anti gay. You'll get over it...the racists did when their churches no longer discriminated.
