Wrong. The middle class all but got wiped out after 1980. The middle class was at its peak period between 1947 and 1979. Due to strong union representation and corporate pensions for retirees. Reagan ended all of that with massive tax cuts for the upper 10%, and repealed the law making it illegal for corporations to by back their own stock instead of funding workers pensions.
Even G Bush Sr has to raise taxes at the end of Reagan’s term to stop the bleeding. Both of Reagan’s economic advisors have admitted to this.
It was the Clinton administration that created the economic boom starting in 96’ which actually had us at zero deficit and the national debt starting to go down.

They were: "Get married before you have children and strive to stay married for their sake. Get the education you need for gainful employment, work hard, and avoid idleness. Go the extra mile for your employer or client. Be a patriot, ready to serve the country. Be neighborly, civic-minded, and charitable. Avoid coarse language in public. Be respectful of authority. - Reagan's near-trillion-dollar bulge in defense spending transformed the global balance of power in favor of capitalism. Spurring a stock-market, energy, venture-capital, real-estate and employment boom, the Reagan tax-rate cuts and other pro-enterprise policies added some $17 trillion to America's private-sector assets, dwarfing the trillion-dollar rise in public-sector deficits and creating 45 million net new jobs at rising wages and salaries.

And the tax cuts of the Economic Recovery Act of 1981 stimulated economic growth. “As a 1982 JEC study pointed out,[1] similar across-the-board tax cuts had been implemented in the 1920s as the Mellon tax cuts, and in the 1960s as the Kennedy tax cuts. In both cases the reduction of high marginal tax rates actually increased tax payments by "the rich," also increasing their share of total individual income taxes paid.” http://www.house.gov/jec/fiscal/tx-grwth/reagtxct/reagtxct.htm

'You are the absolutely dumbest person on the planet.
You didn't know that the Democrats caused the Mortgage Meltdown??????
Well.....we'll just add that to the huge list of things you don't know.
Mortgage sellers were selling mortgagaes to people they knew could not pay it back. They used trick ideas interest free mortgages where there was no interest charged for the first few years & then a balloon payment was needed. The buyers said they would not likely afford that balloon payment & the sellers told them to just remortgage at that point When they went to remortgage, home values had dropped & they had to foreclose.
Mortgage sellers did not care if the loan was viable because they immediately sold those mortgages to investment companies. They rolled up these bad mortgages with good mortgages in to Mortgge based securities & bribed the rating company to give it a AAA rating. Unsuspecting investors bought them.
This was possible because of deregulation & under the eye of the Republican administration. Bush's plan to take over Fannie & Freddie eas voted down because it was just a power grab for Bush. There was no way for Democrats to block anything in the House.
Republicans are the party of deregulation & the concept that Corporations will do the right thing. This was wrong.
Dodd Frank bill put in regulations to prevent another bailout. Since then Republicans have been weakening it,.
So really, dumbasss, quit blaming Democrats for the shit your party does.

The list of norms is definitely a list i agree with. In today's world though more and more young married working middle class couples are choosing not to have kids instead focusing on their careers. This is a courageous choice as if you don't want to spend the time raising them then don't have them. And there's nothing wrong with a cold beer o r glass of wine in fact my doctor recommends up to 2 per day. Other than that the list is good. Retirement beats working any day of the week.

“As inflation came down and as more and more of the tax cuts from the 1981 Act went into effect, the economic began a strong and sustained pattern of growth.” http://www.ustreas.gov/education/fact-sheets/taxes/ustax.shtml

Remember the last time you got anything right?
Me neither.
Then W and the worst economic crash since the Great Depression.
