This is where they use a little realized medical fact, that there are few direct causes of death. Even somebody hit by a bus, doesn't die from the impact, but from the damage the impact caused, like blood loss, organ damage, swelling and inflammation.

A heart attack after surgery can not be from covid-19.
The virus could trigger the immune over response that then caused the blood clot, but the surgery and death certainly can not be due to the virus.

If the virus caused the clot that killed the patient, then yes, it IS due to the virus. Without the virus, there would be no clot.

First of all, the virus can not and never has created a blood clot because the virus can't get any access to the vascular system. It has to hide out in sinuses and airways in the lungs, or else the immune system would find it and wipe it out.
What you can blame the virus for is triggering an immune response that is over the top and it is that excessive immune response that can create a blood clot.
But when a person dies during surgery, it is the surgery that killed them, not anything that instigated the surgery.

What you said, no virus and there would be no clot, is like saying vacations to Hawaii are bad because someone died on a vacation to Hawaii. No Hawaiian vacation and the person would not have died.

That is not how logic works. It is not simply a random chain of events. There has to be some causality, and the virus did not cause the blood clot.
And by now they should have found which immuno suppressants to use in order to prevent the cytokine storm that did cause the blood clots. The medical profession seems to be dropping the ball on this one.

No, AIDS is where the attacking virus uses the immune system, but the virus is still what kills you.
AIDS uses the bloodstream because it can survive in the bloodstream.

With covid-19, the virus is extremely weak and does no harm at all.
It has to hide out in extremities, like sinuses and lung airways, because those are the only places the immune system won't find and quickly destroy it.
Covid-19 can not enter the blood stream because it can't survive in the blood stream.
It essentially can't get access to most of the body at all.
It can only infect superficial linings.

We do not know why or how the covid-19 trigger this over reaction by the immune system, but it is rare even among those testing positive for covid-19. And it is important to make the distinction that it is NOT the virus doing the harm because you pretty much can not treat virus infections. But you CAN easily treat over reactions by the immune system, with immuno suppressants. And that is the only time things like HCQ come up as useful. If one does not understand that significant difference, then one could do stupid things like try to use anti virals on the cytokine storm, which can't help. Or one could use immuno suppressants when there is no cytokine storm, and make the virual infection worse.

COVID 19 can cause abnormal blood clotting. When a blood clot clogs one of your coronary arteries, thus starving the heart muscle of oxygen, that's called a myocardial infarction, aka a heart attack in layman's terms.

Letlow was likely undergoing a procedure (either a coronary angioplasty or bypass surgery) to remove a blood clot in one of his coronary arteries and they either failed, there were complications or they were just too late.

Except that covid-19 can not get into the blood steam, can not survive in the blood stream, and can not cause any bloodclots anywhere.

No real harm has to be done, and the virus can not really enter the body, but just hides on the surface.

HIV does not just cause an under response, but attacks and kills off the immune system T-cells.
It is a very harmful and invasive virus that is pervasive through out the whole body.
