More historic appointments

The Potatohead Administration is full of fail. Worst President in the history of the Republic.

Making appointments to government leadership positions based upon race and sexual orientation instead of qualifications is one of the main reasons for the fail.

Republicans think their political appointments are experts in their field

They do not need to be experts, but they should have a working knowledge.

Some how I bet if I looked I could find you criticizing Trump's nominees for not being qualified, which was in many cases justified. But it is no different when Biden does it. This guy does not belong at the top of the FAA

The last 3 were former pilots including the guy who’s the acting admin. They all also had extensive experience working for the airlines in safety roles as well as lower positions within the FAA.

I wish

They are political appointees. Their only qualification is they are owed a favor.

Billy Nolen is an American government official who has served as acting administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) since April 1, 2022.

Prior to Nolen's appointment as acting administrator, he worked with American Airlines, Airlines for America, Qantas Group, and WestJet in safety positions. He left WestJet in January 2022 to join FAA and served as the associate administrator for aviation safety of the FAA, before resigning in April to become acting administrator

Stephen Marshall Dickson (born September 3, 1957) is an American former Air Force pilot and Delta Air Lines executive who served as the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration from August 2019 to March 2022.

Prior to Dickson's appointment to the Federal Aviation Administration, he spent 27 years at Delta, first as a pilot and later overseeing pilots as the senior vice president of flight operations until he retired. In March 2019, President Donald Trump nominated Dickson to be Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Chairman of the Air Traffic Services Committee

I am embarrassed for him, concerned for the country,

He was already going to be opposing the nomination. He just came up with a set of obscure questions he knew they guy couldn't answer to try to embarrass him and justify his opposition as something other than partisanship. It would be akin to saying that someone isn't qualified to be Transportation Secretary if they don't know the rules for driving through Dupont Circle.

I'm not a pilot either but I could easily answer about 1/3rd of the questions. That was just sad.

exactly

Qualified administrators get passed over for a political appointee with connections. That is why they are given the title of “acting” rather than a full appointment

Way our political system has always operated

I find it funny how the left claim that the Trump administration made the US the world's laughing stock and yet we now have an administration that runs by inclusiveness instead of appointing the best people to positions, giving us a tranny who steals women's luggage, a gay Transportation secretary who always needs time off to be with his hubby and adopted children instead of doing his job, and wanting the head of the FAA to be someone who knows little about aviation. What could possibly go wrong, besides the world laughing at us?

Did you see the political appointees Trump made?
What made his son in law an expert on foreign policy?
He couldn’t even qualify for a security clearance

So you’re just ignoring the guy who was appointed before the person who is currently the acting administrator?

So the justification for the current admin doing this is that the last admin which according to you was the worst in history did it?

So, you're fine with a Biden appointee repeatedly arrested for stealing women's clothes, a gay guy who always needs family time off instead of performing his job, and the head of the FAA knowing next to nothing about aviation?

Welcome to the wonderful world of American politics

Do you think the Ambassador to Chile knows anything about Chilean culture or speaks the language?

So the justification for the current admin doing this is that the last admin which according to you was the worst in history did it?

Not the last administration……EVERY Administration makes political appointments totally devoid of merit

What are the uses of an ADS Transponder? Quickly please
What are the six qualifications for restricting airspace over military bases? Quickly please

Does he REALLY think an administrator will be knowledgeable on this?
