More IRS staffers placed on leave

Eh so much for the end of the culture of corruption in D.C.

Also, so much for an open and honest administration. Commrade Obama has done more to destroy Liberty and our economy than all previous administrations. Why? Because...
Dumb
Fucking
Liberals elected

One
Big
Ass
Mistake
America.

Is this supposed to be intelligent?

We conservatives/libertarians have history, facts, and logic on our side. Why on earth do we settle to make our points with things like this?

Of course Karl Rove did the dirty work himself, and is afraid that all the Republican noise about the IRS will open Pandora's box point the finger at himself and George Bush. Did you read the link at all?

I don't know how I can be any clearer here:

HOLD THEM ALL ACCOUNTABLE.

Anyone using the IRS or any other government agency to target political enemies whether Republican, Democrat, or other should be held accountable for their corruption.

Is my position on this really that difficult to understand?

As an independent voter I am outraged. I am furious that the IRS would single out any group on either side of the aisle for this clear violation tax and election rules.

As a realist, I think the Republicans have pulled the same thing in the past, and are overzealous.

Both parties have taken unethical actions to control the vote many times, in many locations around the nation. If politicians were as concerned as they say they are about dishonesty in electioneering , Al Gore would have been in the White House from 2000-2008. Americans seem to forget, but the world has not, that American elections are as corrupt as in any third world country.

alGore_1515233c.jpg

Imagine Al Gore in the White House. No Iraq war. No war in Afghanistan. Globel warming would have been dealt with and our tornado/Hurricane/forest fire problems would have been a top priority. Much more attention would have been paid to domestic issues. Gore preferred to negotiate rather than create war, so maybe no 9/11. And, we would have never heard the name "Scooter Libby."

Hey, didn't Al Gore win that election by a half million votes? He sure did!

So, let's cut the bull shit.

The only way Gore could have won in 2000 is if one of his illegal schemes for counting was approved, you know one of them was to count every vote in two districts for the independent as for Gore. Remember that? How about the hanging chad bullshit?

EVERY recount put Bush on top INCLUDING leftest organizations after the fact. Get over it Gore lost Bush won.

Another reason I'm skeptical of his independence. Al Gore was never winning the election. At no point did he have a lead in Florida. Even in the recounts the Media did after the whole controversy was over, Bush still won Florida

No honest person can claim that Al Gore won the 2000 election. Nor would any independent person try to do so. Only hard core partisan lefties even try.

Well, duh! Here are the numbers, Gore won the election. If Bush had not cheated with his dad's nominees to the Supreme Court by stealing Florida, Gore would have been the POTUS elected by the American people. In fact, Gore was elected by the American people.

Repubs pulled the same scam in 1876 with Hayes and Tilden. Tilden won, and Hayes stole the election in the Supreme Court. Your lies did not work in 2000, and do not work today. Even a blind person can see these truths.

Why are so many of you clowns afraid to admit what you really are ?.......

Hey dodo, we are not all that pleased with Obama either. I find him mediocre, and tool of big business. Who was it that said, "In politics you used to buy your Republicans, but now you just rent the Democrats."

However, I did vote for Obama. Not because I liked him, but because Romney was way out of touch with American reality. Tell you what, if Romney's father ran, I might vote for his moderate brand of Republican politics. Sadly, I think the Republican Party is dead for keeps.

No. He didn't. At no time did Gore win the vote in Florida. There were countless official and unofficial recounts. The Results were the same Bush won Florida. Stop deluding yourself.

Obviously a blind person cannot see the truth. Because you are arguing for a lie.

Which is why no matter how many times i point out that all should be held accountable, you go off on Republicans as if I don't want them held accountable.

Which, of course, is why you are attacking Republicans instead of those who are actually in power. Because you are Independent and dislike both equally.

Answer to your question. No, the post was not meant to be intelligent, as there is no longer any intelligence in politics. It is nothing more than bumper sticker brevity.

I do agree with your point that all should be held accountable regardless of party, just doesn't happen within our current polarized two party system. In reality it never will. There will be no real difference within this system until term limits are in place for all politicians, as the term "career politician" should have no place within our vocabulary. As a realist I don't see that happening any time soon as all politicians are money whores, so I have no problem taking cheap shots.

Having said that, you must not have boned up on all the counts in Florida after the election.
Your side, the right side, and no side came to the same conclusion......you would have been butthurt if you weren't an underinformed voter. :eusa_whistle:

Then we need to put intelligence into politics.

Term limits aren't enough. Besides, we can term limit them now if we just vote the stinkin bums out.

Another member who thinks he's a MOD, huh?

WOW! Are you really that slow? Can't believe they allow you to post here.

Let me dumb this down for you. What is the purpose of intentionally refusing tax exempt status to "Tea Party" or "Patriot" groups? Think real hard now.

It is to win elections. The real point of this issue is to talk about cheating to win elections. That is precisely what George W. Bush did in Florida - cheated to win the election.

Bush lost by a half million votes, and used daddy's Supreme Court friends to steal the election.

If you really have problem with this, you could search Google, which is precisely what I did before I made post #53.

As I pointed out in post #12, which apparently you did not take the time to read before rushing to your keyboard, Karl Rove has warned Republicans not to push to too hard or they too will go down the "rabbit hole" on this issue.

I don't care if both sides have done it in the past. I've seen no evidence of Republicans doing it, but if they did, they were just as wrong and that just strengthens my argument that we need limited government and to abolish the IRS.

Didn't care for your attitude, so........... The IRS is a good political issue for Republicans. But are they in danger of overreaching on it?

"Karl Rove, the chief political strategist for George W. Bush’s presidency, acknowledged that he worries “a little bit” about the possibility of overreach..... Rove may be the most visible Republican to admit a bit of concern about the possibility of his side going down a political rabbit hole over the next few years, but he is not the only one.........."

I guess you have real issues with Media Matters and MoveON.org with their tax exempt status, huh? No? Your a hypocrite :eusa_whistle:

AP: A vote-by-vote review of untallied ballots in the 2000 Florida presidential election indicates George W. Bush would have narrowly prevailed in the partial recounts sought by Al Gore, but Gore might have reversed the outcome – by the barest of margins – had he pursued and gained a complete statewide recount.

Palm Beach Post: Al Gore was doomed.

He couldn’t have caught George W. Bush even if his two best chances for an official recount had played out.

USA Today: George W. Bush would have won a hand recount of all disputed ballots in Florida’s presidential election if the most widely accepted standard for judging votes had been applied.
factcheck.org : The Florida Recount of 2000

In the first full study of Florida's ballots since the election ended, The Miami Herald and USA Today reported George W. Bush would have widened his 537-vote victory to a 1,665-vote margin if the recount ordered by the Florida Supreme Court would have been allowed to continue, using standards that would have allowed even faintly dimpled "undervotes" -- ballots the voter has noticeably indented but had not punched all the way through -- to be counted.
Media Recount: Bush Won the 2000 Election | PBS NewsHour | April 3, 2001 | PBS

Bush won the electoral votes no matter how you try and spin it.

You just keep on drinking the Kool-Aid, son.
Keep huffing the paint, smoking the 420.....Obama will take care of you.

PS....me being a mod? Guess you haven't been around too long, sonny.

Was it really all of 1000 dollars? 1000 whole dollars. OMfingGOD. Not "that" thousand dollars. Chump change. You rethugs are going to act all superior and butt hurt over chump change. LMAO.

Hell our wonderful Congress people wouldn't even take your phone call if all you were offering was a thousand dollars.

But keep it up. Your butt hurt is funny as hell.
The value of the bribe is not so important as it's being taken by the corrupt employee.

The IRS has notified congressional staff that top officials in the agency’s Affordable Care Act implementation team were recently placed on administrative leave for potential improprieties, according to a congressional source.

The agency told lawmakers that Fred Schindler, who is Sarah Hall Ingram’s deputy, and another staffer in the division were put on leave. The move is the result of gifts the staffers allegedly received — including $1,100 in free food and other items — while attending a 2010 health care conference.

The move is the result of gifts the staffers allegedly received

that's so interesting - surly no liberal agenda should be tolerated by a strictly Republican electorate.

DAYUMM. Can't you all read. But, my bad it was 1100 entire dollars you all are freaking about. 1100. To funny. Oh, and some alleged "gifts".

You really should study American election procedures before posting such ridiculous crap.

...and the topic is federal employees accepting illegal gifts. It has nothing to do with the fact that Al Gore is a loser.

well, we can see where your ethics lie, or rather your lack of them. And, just so ya know, my Rep Congressman calls back within 12 hours, if he can't take the call then. Oh, and with no pay off at all. Sorry yours won't.
