Wish I understood what they were saying..
Most memorable Cali quake image was seeing actual wave
patterns in the concrete curb. As far as you could see.. Waves
just traveling thru the curb all the way down the street.

Yes, I was visiting a friend of mine who was the City Attorney for Burbank back when the Northridge quake hit. We were eating at the tommy's on San Fernando Blvd when I heard (I can hear the low frequency rumbles) a aftershock coming. I told everybody to hang on and sure enough here came the wave! Very, very cool. Especially because no one was hurt by it.
