This is great news for the people of Egypt that they are freeing themselves from the what was going to be a huge mistake in their history. I guess they must have observed what Islamism does in countries like Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc and decided they want no part of it.

Their fears were fuelled by a doctrine and rhetoric which has often seemed anathema to democracy and secularism. But over the past week, many Islamists have encouraged hostility against them, with dozens of churches and Christian homes torched and looted across Egypt since Wednesday.
