My Response to the Blue Wave Theory

Not all democrats are willing to swallow the socialist pill. They will either walk away or vote republican. The way the #walkaway movement is growing there might not be a viable democrat party by November.

The Dems are selecting Socialist-Communists in their primaries. That's a pretty marginalized strategery, I must say.

Dems have lost the black vote with their grand Abolish ICE campaign.

Do we think they can print up enough fraudulent ballots to cover a 12% loss in their voting bloc?

I think they may have lost a good chunk of the black vote, but not all of it.

Tamany aint done with them just yet.

The Blue We will not happen for one simple reason: the enthusiastic Democrat base is figuratively insane. They want open borders and legalization of all 30 million invaders who are currently in the country. They believe in the cancer that is called, "Social Justice." They believe in a national $15 minimum wage...to start. They believe, as Marxists have always believed, that wealth is evil, and property is theft. And on and on.

actually, most of those positions are popular.

For instance,

Americans want to raise the minimum wage, but not the way DC thinks – Third Way

We fielded a nationwide poll of 1,000 respondents from June 22 to 28, 2016. Our polling is the first to test a regional cost-of-living based approach to the federal minimum wage against that of the $15 minimum wage proposal. Our polling showed that while a slight majority would go along with a single $15 minimum wage (51% favor, 46% oppose), voters decidedly prefer a federal minimum wage increase based on the cost-of-living in a local area (61% favor, 35% oppose).

Here’s what our data found:

Okay, here's the thing.

The out of the White House Party almost always does well in the midterms... the only exceptions being 2002 (where Bush enjoyed post 9/11 support) and 1998 (Where Republicans overreached on impeachment).

and even then, the shifts were only minor, less than a handful of seats.

What works in D's favor is Trump massive unpopularity (he's still underwater in his approval ratings) and enthusiasm in the base.

What works against them is Gerrymandering and the Senate Map sucks because they made gains in 2006 and 2012.

So probably... They take the House but not the Senate.

Well hell, I want an increase in the minimum wage also, but I think that is a matter for local and state government to address.

The Federalis dont have enough granularity to set a national minimum wage. What might be adequate in NYC might price legal labor out of the market in Houston.

Because Democrats never Gerrymander...ever.
Really...never ever.

And that's a perfectly valid argument to make against a $15.00 Min wage.

It's not as good of one for keeping it at poverty wages of 7.25.

You think $15.00/hr is not poverty?
Have you visited any of these neighborhoods where people make $15.00/hour?
I have and they're poverty.
What they need is to concentrate on their education.

No, what we need is to make sure people are fairly paid for their work, you dumb fuck.

But you keep being a battered housewife Republican.
Stay focused...
What does 21K/year buy one in NYC and vicinity?
