I love the way the Bin Laden killing was "no big deal". Obama basically bet his entire presidency on those brave soldiers. Although he did not fire the bullet himself (as if ANY US President had...), he made the call and accepted the consequences. That's is far more than his predecessor ever did.
But more importantly, it's amazing to me how many on this post must stay up all night and all waking hours thinking of ways to ignore the obvious. If you cannot see the economic recovery and advancements in foreign policy and social issues since Dubya left office, then I won't waste my time trying to explain them to you.
The truth is, the President could erase the deficit, lower taxes, reduce inflation, cure cancer, and you would still be whining the way you are right now, "Yeah, but what has he done for me lately..."
The country as a whole has clearly moved forward on all fronts. Ask the next foreigner you meet whether America's image has improved since Obama took office, and watch his face light up. Yes, our image abroad IS important to our effective foreign policy. These improvements happened not because of but IN SPITE OF the current Congressional gridlock. That is to say, it is not a LACK of Obama policy proposals hindering further recovery, but a FAILURE of Congress to act on policies due to obstructionist tactics like the filibuster. With a functioning govt body, I believe the recovery would have been far less painful.
You can chose to move forward with the policies, or remain behind. It's not skin off my nose either way.
