Nate Silver: Dems are in Deep Trouble

You think the public will suddenly start liking Obamacare two weeks before the election?

Crazier things have happened. But the election doesn't have to rely just on obamacare either.

Only a hack thinks 8 months out means the game is over.

The Republicans are going to make sure it's about Obamacare.

Why wouldn't they?

Because they can't talk about that for 8 months straight without offering concrete alternatives, or outing themselves as folks who say, "meh, fuck poor people, let them get sick!"

Remember, the 2010 Wave happened because it peaked close to the election, and then failed in some key points when it became obvious what kind of nuts folks like Angel and O'Donnell were.

I have this theory that .....complacency will save the Democrats.

It is possible ... right?

complacency would be allowing rightwingnut loons to hijack the country.

Americans are sick of 10 years seeking permission from Liberals dominating the Executive and Legislative branches. This is America. Where docLiberals get off with the mentality of "allowing"? You are reading too much Mao, Che, and Kim. It's Referendum time. Socialism in America is an abysmal failure.

The nation is in deep trouble if the right wing scum gain any power.

Yeah, the nation has been doing great since the Obama regime took over.:cuckoo:

Give him some time, 6 years ain't near enough.

World standing in the dumps, check
Weakest recovery from a recession in history, check.
Benghazi, check
NSA, check
IRS, check
Inflation rate skyrocketing, check
Failure in Afghanistan, check

I am sure there is some more destruction he can accomplish in 2 years.

What we will see is the normal cycle of power. The dems have been in long enough for the American people. Electing Repubs won't solve much but it is really all the electorate can do. The worm will turn.

The GOP taking the Senate is likely but will end up depending on the number of Teatards that secure nominations.

I was waiting for a RWer to post this thread.

I saw Nate Silver on one of the Sunday shows reporting his calculations.

Yes, it doesn't look well for the Dems, but it's funny that the RWers are touting Nate Silver when they were the same ones calling him a snot nosed kid not to be taken seriously when he was predicting Obama's victories.

I believe Nate Silver's predictions because the man has always been right, but let's see if some time can lessen the blow that Nate predicts is coming.

The Dems need to get some balls and just outright defend Obamacare...it's what the Republicans would do in their position.

It will work in their favor if they do.

HOwever, if they keep talking about "We're not gonna repeal it, we'll FIX it." that's not gonna fly, having to fix something implies you broke it.

Note how the Republicans STILL don't really bash Bush for what he caused and did. Even though it's well-known. If it's one thing the Republicans understand is language and the use of talking points and they are VERY proficient at it. I hope the Dems get some sense before November.

That's the problem.

They need to start getting nimble about this and hit hard.

But many are afraid of "offending" conservatives.

They should wake the fuck up..

Conservatives are going to vote for them. So they need to reach liberals!

Before they can defend it, they need to be willing to own it. Most of them don't even want to be associated with it.

Rolling on the floor laughing while fellow citizens are having their health insurance policies canceled when they come down with life a threatening illness? What kind of morals and ethics do you call that? What kind of health insurance are YOU fighting for??

If you don't believe the LA Times, then watch it yourself.

Termination Individual Health Policies | Video | C-SPAN.org

But you WON'T watch it, now will you?
Because it's fucking 3 hours long? Yeah, damright I wont watch it.
The practice is illegal. You understand that, right?

That is not what you said, now is it pea brain??

Rabbi said:
No one's insurance was cancelled due to illness.

Why would you want to become informed? It is much easier to believe in fairy tales. Your beloved 'private sector' only creates good, and government only creates evil.

Chant it for me pea brain...

Or you could make your argument precise and not simply link to a 3 hour video and expect him to dig through all that shit.

To make valid reference you have to be more specific. At what time in the video are your relevant points made?

Of course, anyone that has followed your posts knows you were just throwing out a distraction and never intended for the guy to actually watch all that shit.

Yeah, they DID wake up, which is why they are running away from Obamacare.

Closing your eyes, and listening only to government approved news isn't going to magically change this from a loser issue to a winner.

Conservatives are going to vote for them. So they need to reach liberals!

Lol, you really are an idiot.

I guess so. Those sneaky conservatives tricked the Democrats into implementing a really dumb idea. Hell, one of the first things I learned in school is that if you're gonna copy off your neighbor, make sure they're smarter than you.

And what about Bush and Cheney?

crickets...

What laws did they break?
crickets

REALLY? Why am I not surprised.

Let's start with the Bush Administration’s Liability for 269 War Crimes

Types of War Crimes « GEORGE W. BUSH, WAR CRIMINAL

I see a ton of things on that pos website that happened after 2009 but you don't have any posts regarding Obama as a war criminal. Is that just an oversight or are just another mindless Obama hack foaming at the mouth?............ :eusa_whistle:

Nate Silver to ABC: GOP Has 60% Shot at Retaking Senate | Mediaite

GOP has 60% chance of retaking Senate according to Nate Silver.

Silver was one of the few who predicted that the government shutdown wouldn't have a big impact on the GOP in 2014, and he called the GOP having a good shot at retaking the Senate long before other political handicappers, way back in June 2013.

Liberals, I know you loved Nate in 2012, and he was right then. But it looks like he's going to be right again, much to your chagrin.

EDIT: By the way, my own model also showed something along the lines of this with regards to the Senate. Hopefully, it will work out.

yeah democracy is not really going to win this time around.

It was the republican plan

Not even Nate Silver can predict some of the bone headed things that are about to be said in the run up to the election.

The Republican plan was just to stop you from cheating, you're still free to win elections by getting more legitimate votes.
