Actually getting rid of illegals will make it better. The less people looking for places which leads to more competitive pricing to get the renters there are. Illegals take the cheap places so at first prices will remain high but once the people find a new cheaper place and there are STILL rentals at high prices the prices drop! DUH! Happened in last town I lived in. I rented a shit hole for 750$ a month and things were bad until they built some income based apartments in town that opened just as I was moving away from town so can't really comment if the prices have dropped but its just common sense. More people offering an item of course more people buy the cheaper priced item.
