The CDC doesn’t have any authority to put a plan into action. Our government needs to listen to their advice and then follow it.It isn't the political parties who need to come up with a plan: it's the CDC.The GOP and Trump have their thumbs up their assess as usual. This virus shows no signs of slowing down and the GOP response to this is “Derp. Meh. What does this have to do with sucking corporate lobbyist dick? What’s in it for us?”
They’re fucking useless.
The democrats House Bill is a step in the right direction, but it lacks any long term strategy. It’s just a band-aid. It doesn’t address how to stop the virus for the months to come.
Now some governors have more effective strategies for their states. Social distancing and contact tracing are key, but without real federal help, it won’t amount to much.
We are on our own folks.
God forbid we politicize this crisis any more than we already have. They don't know yet, Billy, what is going to happen or how to fix it. There are too many pieces to put together a long-term plan. We're having enough trouble making the short-term plans stick. People are suing their governors and defying reopening precautions, etc. etc. This is still a week by week, day by day thing.
