Maybe the real issue stems from the lack of integrity and character of the GOP. Republicans have lied, failed to deliver, and lack the backbone to follow through with campaign promises. The compassionate progressive wing of the party is more afraid of the media then the people that elected them, thus you have the backlash, "The Donald". Despite blaming Bill Clinton for NAFTA, negotiations were begun under Ronald Reagan, and the Agreement was signed by George H.W. Bush in 2002, just before Clinton's election.
