New York State Senate Defeats ‘Dream Act’ Financial Aid for Illegal Aliens

Legislators stunned the pundits this evening by defeating a $200 million taxpayer giveaway to illegal aliens students in New York's Senate, which had the strong support of Governor Andrew Cuomo. The 'DREAM Act' was defeated by a 30-29 vote in the state Senate in Albany. Perhaps the 2014 election where many subversives are having trouble over CommieCare has played a major part in some decisions to do the right thing!

I have never understood how it is that the left can justify giving law-breakers who are here illegally "in state" tuition while people who live in neighboring states (and are Americans) must pay out of state tuition.

Any Veteran of the Armed Forces (especially returning combat vets) should be allowed to attend the school of their choice (with the exception of private institutions) for free. It's the very LEAST we can do.

I graduated from the University of Louisville using the GI Bill and was damned glad to have it.
