I am a bit surprised that they were unaware of this.

I'm not sure if they were unaware of it, or just didn't see it as a problem.

There is a lot of unawareness out there. Until the media reports last year, I didn't know that the "OK" sign actually meant "White Power".

Somehow, I don't think Nike is going to scrap millions in inventory because Kaepernick said so.
