Not everyone should be allowed to votel

Veterans. We are supposed to be speaking about veterans. Veterans are not active in the military. Most active military mock the complaints of some veterans who whine in the way you appear to be doing.

Do they? And your experience with active duty and veterans comes from where?
Yes, many do. Ask any active member or a recently discharged enlistee
Nice dodge. So your real answer is "That's my opinion and I'm sticking with it." Fine.

BTW, my brother's still active duty. My dad and I are retired. I know of no vet or active duty servicem member who ridicules vets like you do.

What percentage of recently discharged and eligible veterans access services offered; the G.I. bill? The numbers are horrifically low.,

No, but your line of whining is interesting. Are you bitter ex-military vet or just bitter because you didn't qualify? Bitter because you think the world owes you something?

They're both Army. I'm the red-headed stepchild of the family.

I met him once not long before he died, under the most unusual of circumstances.
Lucky you! He was my favorite author growing up. I literally read everything of his I could find. He'd been having serious health problems for ten years before his death. Why do you think he died under "the most unusual of circumstances"?
No...I met him under the most unusual circumstances....believe it or not, at McMurdo Station, Antarctica.

your a sad person. and give it up. Most everyone I grew up around was a veteran. None of them acted as needy and entitled as you and yours seems to do

That's definitely a winner!

Back to the Civil War here too....unfortunately they were Yankees. ;)

Granddad Navy in WWI, but not a career like my dad. Uncles in Army, Air Force and Marine Corps.

Family fought in almost every single war on the North American continent (USA/Canada) beginning in the 1600s.

So Divine, go break some wind elsewhere, People like Divine.Wind make patriotism into a cheap look at me game. I bet Ben Franklin and others warned us all about your kind

There are obvious population groups in America that are a threat to our National Security...these folks should not be allowed to vote....they should be deported irregardless of their current citizenship status.

Which ones exactly?
pot smokers from Missouri...i think i heard that from a drunk cat lover, not sure though.....

I wouldn't doubt it, what with all the authoritarians running amok after the election...

It is quite obvious that many types are not qualified to vote.....voting should be a privelege not a right.

Hopefully, during Trump's first term we will be able to revise the voting system which has essentially crashed....aka millions of illegal aliens voting...got to be stopped.

Here is what we need to do: first make it a requirement that everyone who votes must present documentation that proves they are a legal citizen....no one who is not a citizen should be allowed to vote.

No felons should be allowed to vote.

Still yet....that is not enough...more needs to be done. We must whittle down the minority vote....otherwise America will wind up with a government dominated by those who cannot even run their own countries....why should they be allowed to come here and try and run ours?

The first step is to stop all immigration of muslims, people from third world countries and only allow in folks like us...with similar morals, education and religion...to do oherwise is to comitt National Suicide.

There are obvious population groups in America that are a threat to our National Security...these folks should not be allowed to vote....they should be deported irregardless of their current citizenship status.

As we go along and begin to implement these steps then we will find the way clearer to do even more...to insure that the America that survives is the America that our founding fathers envisioned. This is true Americanism and True Conservatism...which will truly make America Great Again.

Not Everyone Should Be Allowed to Vote - The Last Resistance
Better yet, no person can be a voting citizen until they 1) pass a citizenship exam and 2) are a military veteran.

Well, not everyone is physicaly able to serve in the military...thus I would say just let each vets vote count as two votes....they are entitled since they help defend the nation.
An adjustment can be made. Drone pilots don't need to the ability to walk. Same goes for video monitoring security guards. There are lots of desk jockey and other support jobs a person who is wheel-chair bound can serve their country.

It is ridiculous to assume that having been in the military was in any way a service to the American People. Retired Marine General Smedley Butler in 'War is a Racket' 85 years ago exposed the Military as a tool in service to the rent-seeking wealthy. Things have not changed since that time.

Your message reminds me a book I've read a few years ago. It was a novel called "Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein.
In that novel the author described a future society where you can't vote if you didn't serve in the military. And if you never serve in the military you will never have any political rights :)
Great book! But not quite correct. Citizens had rights, but those rights didn't including voting rights or the ability to serve in office unless they were a veteran.

Heinlein was a Naval Academy graduate and Naval Officer.
He was also a vile anti-Christian his entire adult life and a supporter of an outspoken socialist-Upton Sinclair for Gov of California in the 1930's. RAH was frankly pervy in many of his views.

Funny how people always claim this is a right wing position when in fact the progressive movement ideology centered on the precept that only qualified individuals, fellow traveler's, were suitable to hold office and vote. Now explain to me how a white redneck hick from french lick or a unemployed man of color trapped on the plantation are somehow unfit to vote? The media claims Trump won because of racist whites, uncle tom's, and uneducated hicks voting him into office, when in fact it was nothing more then 8 years of lies, a Hag that constantly was proven a pathological liar, chest deep in political corruption, and a political party that viewed their policies as essential in ruling over morons that don't know any better.
Ask the likes of Reid and Pelosi they will be happy to explain it to you.
