Nothing generates unemployment like liberal policy

CNN just announced need that a study by the University of Washington showed that the lowest income workers earned $125 less per month after Seattle implemented their $15 per hour minimum wage. While the workers earned on average 3% more, their hours were cut on average by 9% - resulting in a net loss to their income.

The study concluded that this is basic economics - that when something costs more (such as labor), people simply learn to do with less of it.

Thanks to the Dumbocrats - the poorest among us are now further behind. If only the left understood basic economics. I guess that's why they are called Dumbocrats.

Not having to work harder for less, is an improvement.

But that's exactly what they are doing. They are now coming home with $125 less per month in their paychecks. Thanks to the Dumbocrats, the lowest earners among us are now even further behind.

Even in the face of indisputable facts, you're unable to accept that the ideology you embrace is a failed ideology. Typical left-wing nut-job.

working fewer hours means they have more time for school.

What's better? One person working for 15 dollars an hour or 3 people working for 5 dollars an hour?

CEOs may get a bonus for "improved performance", if the CEO can get a tax break for three people instead of only one. The government simply pays more in social services via taxes, that the right wing loves to complain about.

Wait...I thought the idea was that the previous minimum wage wasn't a "livable" wage and that these people are suffering. Now you're trying to spin their having even less money to live off of as a positive?

Bwahahaha!!!! You just exposed yourself, snowflake.

you are welcome to do some math; it has to be more cost effective for labor to actually provide labor, at fifteen dollars an hour versus our current minimum wage.

ooooh. I have the Official Economist Answer for this one: "It depends."

Three people working for $15 per hour is exponentially better. You get 3x's the productivity for the same price. So the business can operate more efficiently. And for society, you employ three people instead of one.

Ask the two people not working.

Everywhere liberals get these insane minimum wages shoved through, we see insane unemployment. Businesses move or shut down. Nothing but poverty is left in the wake of liberal policy. What a damn shame...

Minimum wage hikes put pressure on businesses to 're-engineer labor force,' a restaurateur says - LA Times
Some restaurants face pressure to trim menus and staffs under California's wage hike
Then why did we have 8 years of growth under Bill Clinton which allowed him to leave office with a budget surplus?

Because Newt Gingrich and the Republicans were in charge of Congress (which controls the purse strings, the tax policies, etc.).

What about Detroit? Where they caused an entire city to file bankruptcy? What about the U.S.S.R.? Where they caused an entire nation to collapse.
Democrats answer to the same people Republicans do. The Democrats do it because they are incompetent; Republicans do everything they can to fuck this country and this healthcare bill is a perfect example of that.
