Guess what? Foreign companies outsource twice as many jobs to us than we outsource to them. Not only that, but the foreign companies pay higher wages. If we prevent outsourcing, we will lose over 5 million higher paying jobs to keep 2 million that would be outsourced. Outsourcing helps our economy by allowing resources to be used more efficiently to expand production. Do you think the dollars we send overseas disappear? Its called the balance of payments.

A bill that consists of 100% cuts in spending, zero new revenues and a perfectly good plan to stall the very limited recovery based on the new version of voodoo economics is a "win" for the Democrats?

Seriously, this is pretty much the Boehner bill minus a vote before the election.

We have a 3.5 trillion budget, a 1.4 trillion deficit and this cuts 100 billion. It's pathetic and reckless. We should be starting cuts at a trillion this year. Easily achievable if we just start using applying Constitutional authority to our welfare state and overseas wars which are clearly not in defense of the US.

Liberals conveniently ignore the fact that a large determinant for corporations moving jobs overseas were policies they supported. Why were bad loans made? Because community organizers like our present President got the Federal Government to threaten banks with fines if they didn't lower standards and write sub prime loans. That didn't happen in Canada...hence they didn't have our real estate bubble...or our real estate collapse.
Why did companies like GM and Chrysler need bailouts to keep from going under? Because union contracts supported by liberal politicians in the Rust Belt made producing cars in Detroit COST the car companies money each time one rolled off an assembly line.
Why do our school systems fail to teach our children? Because liberal politicians rewarded public sector unions with job security so air tight that we can't get rid of teachers that are horrible...all in return for hundreds of millions in union contributions and millions of union votes.

Someone made the point about asking their grandfather about having a good paying union job? There was a time in this country that unionization was needed to address worker abuse but anyone who doesn't realize that unions LONG AGO turned collective bargaining into a means to abuse the public itself is deluding themselves. You want to know why they started building cars in Mexico? Try union workers demanding $75 dollars an hour and then going out to the parking lot and getting wasted at lunch time because they know they've got a better chance of getting hit by lightning than of getting fired for shoddy work.
