Obama blames Budget Impasse on GOP fear of Limbaugh, Tea Party

Obama is correct to the extent that the budge impasse is solely the fault of House republicans, the TPM faction in particular.

Last I checked the houses of Congress were split between two parties. I'm always amused by you hyperpartisans who think only the other party has to negotiate and capitulate to what you want, but never the other way around.
I shudder every time I hear or read the word bipartisan. In libspeak? It means either capitulation or scheming by the political elitists that intend to make us their subjects come Hell or high water...and expect us to sit down, shut up and just take it.

If the questioners were not rowdy, they have ever right to "grill" their congresscritter.

They do not have the right insist on only "yes" or "no." I am quite sure the county chair let the TPM members know if they tried to shout down the congresscritter, the deputies would move in and remove them out.

See the issue is after Mitt won the primaries and flip floped from anti Obamacare to "how can we make it better in my image" people want a yes or no answer. And even if a congress person answered yes or no we all know their word is meaningless. It simply comes down to re-elections, thoughtful answers are vague and easy to defend at a later date when you let your base down.

Which hospital charges $36,000 for one night? The average cost for a state run hospital is $1,625, for a non-profit it is $2,025, for-profit would cost $1,629.
UC Irvine.

That's how much it cost me when I came down with MRSA a couple of years ago and had to spend the night there. No special tests; no special treatment; just a bed and some Dilaudid every 4 hours.

My benefits payed for almost $30K and I'm stuck making payments for $7200.

The fuckin' van ride over from Huntington Beach Hospital cost $2000.

A cab ride for that same distance, costs $35.00.

It's fuckin' ridiculous!

Youn stupid fuck, your max out of pocket with the ACA will be 6700 bucks....huge difference eh?

Thats what none of you dick wads wants to talk about.....how are "poor" people who are so very fortunate to be able to sign up for Obamacare going to pay for that 6700?

Stupid ass.

Certain people want a certain answer so they can act the idiot by yelling and screaming.

After the summer of 2009, that stupidity is answered with (1) a caution and then (2) if continued, handcuffs and escort.

Congresspeople deserve the same type of respect that their constituents want.

If the answer is not 'yes' or 'no', if the critter wants to answer his way, tuff.

Don't vote for him, but do not disrupt public meetings.

Respect is earned not deserved try again. dumbocrats deserve none nor do they get it, and many who claim to be republican deserve even less

First off, that's not the point. The point is obscene healthcare costs are out of control.

Secondly, I've said several times in this thread, the ACA needed the "public option" to bring prices down, yet you "act" like you didn't see it!

And thirdly, when the ACA dropped the "public option" from the bill, I stopped supporting it.

But let's not let the truth get in the way of your rant?

Obama blames budget impasse on GOP fear of Limbaugh, Tea Party - The Hill's Video

President Obama said that progress on a budget deal in Congress is being hampered by Republicans worried about Tea Party primaries or Rush Limbaugh.

Obama said he's had Republican tell him privately they fear they'll be criticized by the conservative commentator or primaried if they agree with the president.

"If you are putting the American people first, if you are prioritizing them, then this shouldn't be that difficult," Obama said in an interview airing Friday on CNN's "New Day."

"And I've made this argument to my Republican friends privately, and, by the way, sometimes they say to me privately, 'I agree with you, but I'm worried about a primary from, you know, somebody in the Tea Party back in my district,' or 'I'm worried about what Rush Limbaugh is going to say about me on the radio. And so you got to understand, it's really difficult.'"

The president added that "any time we are not moving forward on things that should be simple, I get frustrated."

"I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get Congress — and Republicans in Congress in particular — to think less about politics and party and think more about what's good for the country," he said.

--What he means is that HIS ideas are what is good for the country, and only his.

When political correctness...and worrying about what some will say is a cop out and tells me that there is a severe lack of principle by those 'Repubicans' Obama cites...And whom were those 'Repubican friends' any way?

Obama is lying through his teeth as usual.

Hmmmm........
