Obama has managed to pick the most liberal judges in the Country, those with 80% or higher rulings for allowing illegals to stay, to hear the cases.

Way to go.

Why aren't these cases being heard in the Border States where the illegals entered the country?

That is where the crime occurred after all.

New York judges to start hearing child-immigrant cases | New York Post

Thousands of kids who crossed illegally into the United States will hit the jackpot Wednesday, when their expedited cases begin coming before New York City immigration judges — who are the most lenient in the country.

The first judge assigned to the so-called “surge docket” is Frank Loprest, an Obama administration pick who grants asylum in 88 percent of the cases before him. The national average is about 50 percent.

Only five other judges in the nation have a more generous asylum record and they are all Loprest’s New York City colleagues, according to data from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse of Syracuse University.

In all, the immigration court in the city has granted nearly 80 percent of asylum seekers’ requests since 2009, compared to 40 percent in Los Angeles and 30 percent in Houston.

“They are very empathic,” Noemi Masliah, a New York immigration attorney, said of the city’s judges. “They listen carefully to the evidence. It’s as if they feel like they are saving a life when they grant cases.”

Just another end run around the laws and the Constitution.

Liberals and Democrats ought to be ashamed of themselves for supporting this.

They quite likely are. At the very least, a chance at a better life. We don't have death squads, yet...

nearly anyone coming here...legally or illegally....is seeking a better life.

I couldn't give one fuck about how bad their lives are.

That they are, which should make you very proud? To them you are still a shinning city upon a hill...

I understand.

I simply pointed out to him that such is why most come here.....and therefore, that should not be a consideration as to whether or not asylum should be granted

Accepting refugees fleeing from certain death is both the pinnacle and responsibility of a civilized industrial nation.

Especially what's been described as the "Shining city on the mountain".

This is an immigrant nation, founded by immigrants for immigrants.

Yes, we are well aware of that...

I am one that always said we should be proud that people storm our borders for citizenship....and one of the reasons I am very open minded about finding a way to make it happen.

A generous attitude, even Christlike, I approve...

your problem is your only basis for doing the right thing is whether or not it is the right thing.

Sometimes you need to determine if "the right thing" is feasible.

I mean, the right thing is opening our borders to all and shipping them over here at our cost seeing as many do not have the means to do it.

And then feeding them for days if not months if not years since they may struggle to find a means of income.

And housing each and every one of them seeing as they first need an income to get housing.

And clothing each and every one of them seeing as they likely only came with the clothes on their backs.

Sure...I agree....that would be the right thing to do.

But is it feasible?

Folks like you don't worry about feasibility. You will worry about that later.

OK...

So speaking of "hills"...should we simply airlift those folks on the mountain and ship them here, feed them, house them and clothe them?

Or do they not count.

Sure...you all chimed in to criticize those evil conservatives who don't want to help all those in the world that need it...until this logic (above) is presented to you....and then, YOU BOLT.

First of all, the claim of "certain death" is obvious hooey.

Second of all, accepting a flood of immigrants who don't share our culture is the road to social suicide.

You're spouting slogans and platitudes that don't mean a thing in the real world.

I don't have a problem with them coming here.

Perhaps they can move to Bush's neck of the woods, since it was him that fucked their country.

Growing up I had a couple of Iraqi friends. Played soccer with them.

They were mondo cool. Tough bastards too.
