Funny thing about it is George W Bush cut the big one down!!! Reagans entire first term was in fact just as bad as Obama's and had a few months go slightly higher in the unemployment department....

When Nancy and Harry took over Congress in January 2007 unemployment stood at 4.6 % and Democrats refused to consider the housing bubble a problem. Also the national debt stood at 8.6 trillion.

That takes a moderate leader in the WH to get that ball rolling. Whens the last time we've had that? 1800's? Lincoln? Whig Party? I know we had a civil war going on but the union was secure and together and getting things done despite the differences on Negro rights from slavery. They had to be to end that war and unite a country on such a hot issue. Sometimes it takes a big event like this. Look the Whig party was in power from Lincoln till Roosevelt. 30-50 years? Pretty amazing.

I think Bush was ok Reagan raised taxes many times, granted a amnesty among other things. Amnesty and free trade are stupid....So it is more of a logical American government then a purely moderate one that I am shooting for.

What Middle class are you referring to? I entered the Middle class with Reagan along with many of my friends as new college grads and we have quite frankly kicked ass thanks in large part to his leadership and policies.
