Officer Who Pepper-Sprayed a Black Army Medic Is Fired

He seemed confused about why he was being stopped and afraid of how aggressive these officers were being.
So confused that he thought if he resisted arrest the cops would give up and go away?

this black guy acts like he’s never been out of the ghetto before

He was repeatedly requesting why he was being accosted

The cops had him under control, his hands were in sight, and he was polite and non-aggressive.

This calls for pepper spray

Biden should fire the Army medic not the police officer who was just doing his job

****Joe Gutierrez, who is accused of using excessive force during a traffic stop in Windsor, Va., has been dismissed, the town said.*****

He must be one of those white hispanics that the lib news media accuses of hating black people
Yeah this is a very fucked up situation.
That bully piece of shit should never have been a cop in the first place.
I sincerely hope the active duty vet will seek civil suit against the city and win big. He deserves it.
I don't know if him being black contributed to it, but seeing this video... I wouldn't be surprised.
That cop deserves jail time for criminal assault.
I dont agree with any of that and have said just the opposit

The black guy should be reprimanded by his chain of command
For what?
He was pulled over, to which he stopped immediately. At this point he has no idea why he is pulled over.
Put yourself in his shoes. You are driving, you get pulled over and the cops point their guns at you and start yelling at you to
1) Keep your hands out of the car... while also somehow having to take your seatbealt off... which you can't do.
2) Yelling get out of vehicle, every time he attempts to put his hand in the vehicle - they yell back at him to keep his hands visible.

For fucks sake. How is he supposed to both unlock the car (as with all modern cars doors auto lock until you kill ignition) and undo his seat belt while keeping his hands out of the car at the same time??
You can hear him say "I can't"... then tries to ask what is happening.
You are sitting there with two guns pointed right at you. Both screaming at you to keep your hands where they can see them...while also yelling get out of the car.
He was in a lose-lose situation.

NO one told the uncooperative black guy to keep his hands outside the car

libs just made that up

Two Cops involved and they fired the Hispanic guy? The U.S. Army should try to find out why the hell two officers decided to drive a civilian vehicle without a rear license plate and then refuse to comply with Police Officers demand that they exit the vehicle.

what criminal act was he suspected of?

He didn't stop for the officers for over a mile and they couldn't see any license plate. This is how people drive when they steal a car or used one in a crime.

He did not try to evade the officers or speed away. He slowly drove to a location where there would be witnesses.

Rightfully so

Brand new cars do not have license plates. A temporary tag was properly displayed
He drove to location after ignoring the cops to pull over----parked like he was going to get gas.........and then ignored the cops demands to exit the vehicle while he kept whinning about "that he was serving the country" how could they pull his ass over---

He pepper sprayed him because the officer himself had to reach into the car to open the door since the suspect refused.

What?? - I can hear them in the video.
You had the rookie young cop yelling both get out of the car, and yelling keep your hands where I can see them, then yell get out and them yelled keep your hands out the window.
I just listened to it again.

If a perpetrator refuses to obey multiple orders by law enforcement, force is their only option. In this case the use of pepper spray was the lesser of the force that could have been applied. Would you have preferred the deployment of the Taser?
The cops immediately came at him guns drawn and pointing in his face when the traffic stop itself was completely baseless.

Everything was wrong from the get go.

When you are approaching a possibly stolen vehicle that is what you do, Then when the closest LEO sees a pistol his reaction must be correct or risk a shooting incident. In this case the "suspect" received dose of pepper spray rather than a dose of lethal lead....bSurely this "white" hispanic LEO is relieved that he didn't have to shoot a "black" hispanic.
There’s no reason to suspect it was a stolen vehicle.

So confused that he thought if he resisted arrest the cops would give up and go away?
And of course he was charged with resisting arrest, correct?

Or was it that the cop threatened to file charges unless Nazario kept his mouth shut?

One of the two was fired

Guess which one?

And he shouldn't have been. Maybe he or his union will be suing the city pretty soon. He followed all police procedures.

He escalated a non violent situation into a violent one
At no point was the driver aggressive, only requesting his rights
You have right to do as the officers demand------he ignored the cops while stopped and you pretend that this jackass wouldn't have done the same thing while driving.

You are in full support of that cop's behavior, eh?
As much as you are in support of a US Army officer who disobeys lawful orders
What lawful orders did the LT disobey?
well, shit stain....pulling over ...it does not take a mile or so....thats disobeying right off the bat....next stupid question

A driver is entitled to proceed to a location that is safer for himself and the police officer.

He did not attempt to elude or speed away. He proceeded at a slow speed
So far so good

but when the cops ordered him to exit the car he should have done so

Let's see.
The stop occurred 12/5/20. Video released yesterday. The Lieutenant has a lawsuit pending.
The Lieutenant set up this lawsuit perfectly!!

The cops tried to cover up their actions at the scene.
They offered to drop everything if he would just let it go
