CFP should have put the buckeyes in the playoffs. They are the best team in the country but the CFP said we're gonna take bama even though they lost their final game!!

Big Ten now 5-0 in bowls.

So, the team ranked 5th, beat the team ranked 8th, and you think that that is a surprise?:cuckoo:

Ohio State deserved to be in the college playoff more than Alabama and they proved that tonight.

OK. That doesn't negate my point that a team ranked 5th beating a team ranked 8th is not a surprise.

When it comes to bowl games, often times you can throw the rankings out the window. It's played on a neutral field, and for some guys it is the last game of their college careers.

The CFP made the right choice. USC was over-rated.

Want to make the playoffs? Don't lose 2 games.
Want to make the playoffs? Don't get blown out by an unranked team.

USC is not all that. Jeez, they got their ass kicked by Notre Dame. And the Irish ain't much this year.

Sorry, I know you are an Alabama fan, but they didn't even win their Conference... and even more sad is they scheduled a patty-cake game the week before the Iron Bowl so that they could rest guys and get healthy.

Ohio State lost to Oklahoma and at Iowa. Yeah Iowa beat them pretty good, but it is NEVER easy to win at Iowa.

No, we didn't win our conference. If that were a requirement to be in the playoffs, it would matter. It isn't. It doesn't.

But when you lose 2 games, especially one by 31 points to an unranked team, you don't go to the playoffs.

As for scheduling cupcakes, I think Mercer is as tough as Illinois, and OSU gets to call that a conference game.

This post causes you to lose all credibility.

Mercer is as good as Illinois? The same Mercer that lost to teams like East Tennessee State? Wofford? Furman? Sanford?

Illinois had a bad year, but they have a team full of Big Ten recruits, and they beat Ball State and Western Kentucky, the team they should beat.

The USC front line was a disgrace. Clearly the OSU defense dominated that game.

However, look at JT. He struggled offensively, and had it not been for the defensive play and forcing turnovers and scoring touchdowns, the Buckeyes would have struggled.

Now put a QB in there that can throw and OSU would have destroyed USC 100-0, much like they would have done against Wisconsin and then gone to the playoffs.

No, OSU would not have been able to dominate a team like Clemson defensively and probably would have lost again. They would have needed a decent QB to win, which they still don't have.

Indeed. Mercer is a power house, a worthy opponent to determine playoff eligibility.

Now if only OSU could schedule a great team like Mercer than maybe they could go to the playoffs.

As for credibility, claiming a team with 2 losses, including getting a beatdown by an unranked team should have gotten in the playoffs over a team with 1 loss shoots yours down.

And as for not winning the conference championship, that sounds like OSU last year. Maybe Bama can at least score on Clemson.

You still fail to understand something. Illinois is a Big Ten team with Big Ten recruits. Go ahead and list the number of players from Mercer in the NFL, and then list the number of players from Illinois in the NFL. After you've done that, get back to me.

Ok, as a cupcake Mercer has more icing. But Illinois is a cupcake too. They are 0-9 in conference play. (2-16 in conference play over the last 2 years)

A two loss team doesn’t belong in the playoffs, especially when they got spanked hard by a nobody team. USC was drubbed by Notre Dame. OSU is not that good this year.

HEY BOY - you got shit in your ears.? The board has already explained the iowa loss was because the corrupt refs ejected OSU super-star nick bosa for targeting when it was just a good hit.

30 plus point loss because of one player? Lol! That is pretty funny.
