The argument isn't about them wanting to live, your side keeps saying killing an innocent person is so wrong that we shouldn't do it at all, my retort is incarcerating someone innocent for 40 years is pretty shitty as well, and by your logic we shouldn't incarcerate people either "just in case" they may be innocent.

ya knoe why ? because most if not all were convicted before modern forensics, e.g., DNA evidence were brought into the justice system.

i am fairly certain 150+ years ago many innocent people were hung, shot and burned at the stake.
