Oklahoma under attack by satanic organization yet again

Why does a Wisconsin atheist organization think they have the right to tell the citizens of Oklahoma what to do? .....

You got it backwards bubba. The current law prohibits any language objectionable to Christianity, and only Christianity. All other religions or lack of religion don't share in the same protections. If that isn't the government establishing and protecting a State Religion, then what is?

Why does a Wisconsin atheist organization think they have the right to tell the citizens of Oklahoma what to do? .....

Likely for the same reason that a Christian organization from Florida (Liberty Counsel) thinking they have the right to tell the citizens of Colorado what to do (public accommodation laws).

Should no one ever comment on perceived violations of Constitutional protections if they don't live in the area the perceived violations occur?
The organization isn't just making a comment about the situation. They have hired an attorney.

The busy bodies to worry about their own state of Wisconsin and leave Oklahoma alone. ....

It is more than comment, fair enough.

Should no one ever try to stop perceived violations of Constitutional protections if they don't live in the area the perceived violations occur?

Feel free to cry yourself to sleep.

Obviously, the citizens of Oklahoma have no problem with the status quo.

So why don't the carpet bagging do gooders just mind their own business? .... :dunno:

You mean like all those bible thumping right wingers did with gay marriage?

If someone's Constitutional protections are being violated, it is the business of any American. The Constitution doesn't only protect those in the area a person lives. Even beyond that, you seem to be of the opinion that injustice only matters if it happens near you.

I believe in states rights.

Not in one state dictating to another state what their rights should be. ....

States' rights are good....what about individual rights?

Do you think that states' rights should trump Constitutional rights and protections?

If a citizen of Oklahoma was the person causing the fuss and hiring and attorney, that would be fine with me.

I just don't like the idea of outsiders from another state trying to stir up trouble over something that is none of their business. ...

Again, if someone's Constitutional rights are being violated, it is the business of every American.

Apparently no one in Oklahoma was having their right's violated.

So why should Wisconsin get involved? .....

Oklahoma Under Attack By Satanic Organization Yet Again
Oklahoma is under attack once again by a satanist organization that is seeking to remove an ordinance outlawing the distribution of literature profanely mocking Christianity. The Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) contacted the attorney for Edmond, Oklahoma on Tuesday to request the removal of the ordinance because the foundation contends that it is unconstitutional. The satanic FFRF was contacted by one anonymous citizen. The ordinance at issue is under the “Public Peace and Safety” section, which prohibits speech and behavior that results in a breach of the peace.

Wait until you see weird things begin to happen and things that can't be explained, blanked out minds who aren't able to sense the other existence oh you too will change your tune you just don't know it yet lol.....
Good for them....freedom of religion means just that....for ALL religions.

Sounds like the current tea party govt in Okiehoma..

Because there was a law on the books which, if enforced, would violate the rights of Americans. Also, it isn't Wisconsin getting involved, but a Wisconsin-based group which operates nationally and was, supposedly, contacted by someone from the Oklahoma town in question.

FFRF wants Okla. blasphemy ordinance struck out - Freedom From Religion Foundation

The second line of the article: "FFRF was contacted by a concerned local citizen about an ordinance in the city of Edmond that criminalizes blasphemy against Christianity."

Are you saying that citizens cannot get help from out of state organizations?

Ummmmmm ..... blasphemy laws *ARE* unConstitutional.

And the FFRF has nothing to do with any "Satan", idiot. Their entire point is to be FREE OF THAT SHIT.

What a fucking moron.

UR the moron, I had to write something and I went on my roll of first thoughts.... So maybe since you can't figure that one out it makes you the moron bahahah.

Got it. You can't help yourself from posting stupid stuff. Everyone should already be aware of that.
That's pretty much what MindWars just admitted to.

There should be a test case. A resident should blaspheme against Islam and publicly insult Mohammed. See if anyone complains.
